Overview England Squash is the national governing body for Squash and Squash 57 in England and leads the development and delivery of the sport on a national and local level. It strives to help the sport grow and works collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to provide engaging opportunities from developing grassroots programmes and resources, to producing world class athletes. Over 200,000 people in England play squash each week and England Squash supports more than 600 affiliated clubs to prosper and create thriving and diverse playing communities. To achieve this and continue to drive the growth of the sport, working in partnership with County Associations, clubs, coaches, leisure operators, schools, universities, community groups and players is essential. Through its talent pathway, England Squash identifies and develops the most talented players to then go on and flourish on the international stage. England Squash runs a comprehensive calendar of events and competitions for all standards and ages at international, national, area and county level including the Dunlop British Junior Open and Allam British Open. In addition, the 2022 Commonwealth Games will provide England Squash with the opportunity to showcase talented players and attract new audiences to the sport. The key priorities for England Squash are: Increasing Participation Engaging with partners to get more people playing more squash in more ways. Enhancing Diversity Support the squash community to attract new and diverse audiences to the game. Nurturing Talent Nurture talented players and help them achieve success on the world stage. To deliver these priorities, core objectives include: § Drive increased participation in the game with a strong focus on equality, diversity, and inclusion. § Inspire, train and develop a community of world class coaches, referees and volunteers to increase participation and engagement with the game. § Sustain world leading talent pathways and programmes for high performing players. § Empower creativity and innovation to engage with new audiences. § Enhance the visibility, accessibility, and appeal of squash at a local, national, and international level. § Provide leadership for the game nationally and influence internationally. England Squash receives funding from Sport England with additional revenue generated through membership and commercial partnerships. Based in Manchester, England Squash currently employs c.16 full/part time employees as well as relying on significant support from a larger volunteer-based workforce. www.psdgroup.com
