 The Vermillion Public Library will be hosting Wayne Fanebust,
 a South Dakota Humanities Scholar and author. Fanebust will
 be here to talk about the events surrounding his 2020 novel,
 “No Justice for Agnes: The strange death of Agnes Polreis and
 the sensational South Dakota murder trials of Emma
 Kaufmann” Agnes Polries was a 16-year-old immigrant girl                JULY 2022
 and live-in servant for Emma Kaufmann. Kaufmann was
 arrested and put on trial twice but was never convicted of                      CONTENTS

The 2022 Summer Reading Program is
coming to an end here at the Library. We
will be holding the Cardboard Boat Regatta
July 27th at Prentis Plunge and the Wrap
Party to follow as a picnic at Prentis Park! It
is not required to be at the Regatta to attend
the Wrap Party. We will be holding boat
building workshops starting July 21st
through July 26th at varying times.
