2021 Summer Camps -Drama and Public Speaking Skills -Creative Movement -Music -Arts and Crafts -Costume and Prop Designing -Playwriting -Stage Management Skills -Theatre Games -Team Building Activities -Mini-scenes -Improvisations ACT UP this summer and discover your “dramatic” side! We are offering BOTH traditional in-person camps AND online camps. Safety measure for in-person camps in 2021: *Note: We are currently limiting all in-person camps to 12 kids, as we did in the summer of 2020. However, if the vaccine becomes widely distributed by June and government restrictions are lifted, we may increase the number of students allowed in each camp. We may also loosen some of the restrictions below, but at this time, we are planning to use the same strict safety measures that we used last summer. 1. We'll used painter's tape on the floor to delineate 6 ft so the kids can visualize it. 2. We will also all be wearing masks for all activities except lunch/snack times, when the kids will be seated apart from each other. If your child owns a mask already, we recommend they bring their own. If not, we will have a few masks for purchase for $10/mask. 3. We will move more of our instruction outside (weather permitting--we will not go out if it is raining or too hot). 4. We will be doing a temperature scan of each child upon arrival each day. Any child with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher will be asked to go home for that day. 5. We ask that parents not enter the building at drop off and pick up. Rather, our teacher will meet you at the door and get your child signed in outside of the building before taking them inside. 6. We will not invite audience inside the building for the end-of-week performance, but we'll videotape it and send it to parents to watch later (note: only the full-day campers and Junior Directors take part in this performance). 7. We will not be using shared props, board games, or crafts this year. We do give the kids a 20-minute snack break in the morning, a midday lunch break, and a 20-minute afternoon snack break. Normally, we provide games and activities for them to do during this time, but this year, we ask that you send some activities in with your child (i.e. coloring books, reading books, handheld games, blank paper and crayons, craft projects, etc.). 8. And we'll have lots of hand sanitizer on hand for the kids to use regularly throughout the day.

Our Junior Director program offers a unique opportunity for teens to learn the art of directing. The teens will participate in and lead many of the activities that the campers do. The Junior Directors will also be in charge of directing the campers in their end-of-the-week skits. Directing is no easy task, so our highly trained and experienced teachers will be there to guide and teach the Junior Directors as they navigate how to block a show, how to guide actors properly, and how to put together a play the whole way from page to stage. The Junior Directors will also have the opportunity to perform in their own end-of-week skit.
