CBC WEEKLY UPDATE
** CBC Church Member Registration fees: 1st child $25; siblings $20 each **
** Non CBC Church Member Registration fees: 1st child $45; siblings $40 each**
Awana registration is now open! Awana reaches kids where they are and walks alongside
them in their faith journey. If you have children ages 3–6th grade we invite you to take
advantage of this program. You can register your children online through our website:
CBC Childrens Ministry or by clicking the following link: AWANA REGISTRATION. Registra-
tion forms are also available at the Welcome Centers located in Buildings A and B. Awana
Club is scheduled to begin SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 12, 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Teachers and
helpers are needed. If you are an active member of CBC and would like to serve, please con-
tact Pastor Andy or Brittany Mitchum at 843.569.6745 x13.

A huge thank you to everyone that participated to help make this
years Destination Dig-VBS a success! We had a total of 110 in at-
tendance, 60 children and 50 volunteers participated. Thank you
again, my cherished and loved friends!

church as we watch our Preschool, Children, Preteen

all our families and mentors as they embrace new opportunities during this journey. God
has big plans for CBC, every child, and mentor.

TIME TO ENROLL IN A FALL DIGGING DEEPER GROUP
On September 12 the Fall semester of Digging Deeper is scheduled to begin. Digging
Deeper is a ministry of small groups offered by our church from 5:00 P.M.- 6:30 P.M. in the
Fall, Winter, and Spring months of each year. Adult members and guests of our church may
enroll in the group of their choice by contacting Mandy Denton during Church Office hours
(Monday—Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.) at 843.569.6745 x10 or by emailing
mdenton@crowfieldbaptist.org. This Fall you have two groups to choose from:
The Most Misused Verses of the Bible (men and women)
• Leader: Pastor David
CBC WEEKLY UPDATE
• Number of sessions:13
• Description: An in-depth study of various Bible verses that are commonly misin-
terpreted and misapplied by believers. The group will gain an accurate under-
standing of these verses and their relevance in our lives.
• Book: The Most Misused Verses of the Bible, by Eric J. Bargerhuff. While the book
is not required for attendees, it will provide invaluable insight and is highly rec-
ommended. Books must be individually ordered by attendees, and is available
through most booksellers, including Amazon.com. The lowest price we have
found is $13.99 at Christianbook.com. We recommend ordering the book at least
three weeks prior to the first group session.
Jesus and Women (women)
• Leader: Martie Blanton
• Number of sessions: 7
• Description: (From the Bible Study), Jesus and Women-Imagine walking the dusty
roads of Galilee and Jesus of Nazareth, braving jostling crowds just to touch the
hem of His cloak and hear him say, “Take heart, daughter, your faith has healed
you.” This seven-week study will examine the historical and cultural climate of
first-century Middle Eastern society not only to understand Jesus more deeply
but to fuel your worship of Him today.
• Book: Jesus and Women, by Kristie McLelland. Study Books must be individually
ordered by attendees, and are available through Lifeway. We recommend order-
ing the book at least three weeks before the first group session.

PEANUT FELLOWSHIP
CBC’s annual Boiled Peanut Fellowship will be Sunday, August 22, 5:00 P.M. in Building B.
All CBC members and guests are invited. Parched/roasted peanuts will also be available.
DEACON ELECTION RESULTS
Congratulations to Bill Via and David Calvert on being voted in as new deacons during
our deacon election last Sunday, August 1.
Teacher Commissioning
CBC will be commissioning all teachers for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year during
