REGIONAL BENEFITS IN NSW ▪ Inland Rail presents a major economic opportunity for regional NSW NSW Economic Impact ($m) ▪ 40% of the total project cost will be invested in NSW – that’s more than $4 billion of the cost of Inland Rail 384 Northern NSW ▪ NSW Producers will benefit from Inland Rail, opening up new options 908 Central West NSW to both domestic and export markets 427 North West ▪ Around 5,000 jobs will be created in NSW during the peak of Greater Sydney construction period of Inland Rail. SOME RECENT HIGHLIGHTS All 13 Inland Rail projects have completed $250m worth of contracts already awarded the Concept Assessment stage on our way to $600m over the next few months more than $1.2 Billion by this time next year Continuous study area from Melbourne to Brisbane 14,000 tonnes of steel rail being delivered for Parkes to Narromine project 990 Land Access Agreements in place, 200,000 concrete sleepers under fabrication are 93% success rate being mobilised Progressing the PPP; Industry briefings ongoing 1,600 attended Industry Briefings (2017/18) until October 2018 inlandrail.com.au 17
