In December 2014, I watched Gabriel Medina usher in a new era for Brazilian surfing. Watching Gabriel win the world title was one of the proudest moments of my life - not only was he changing the game, he’d done it surfing my boards. It was also a turning point in my personal journey as a shaper. After 35 years of dedication to the craft, the time had come to follow my dreams, and start my own surfboard company. In 2015, Cabianca Surfboards was born, and in 2016, we built our own factory in the heart of the Spanish Basque Country. Looking back in 2019, the past four years have been incredibly exciting… and challenging! Building surfboards is second nature to me – building a surfboard company is a lot more complicated, and I couldn’t have done it alone. So, to everyone who has been part of the adventure, from my wife Kelli (who saves my ass on a daily basis), to Gabriel, our greatest ambassador and his family, Mikel Agote, my business partner, and you, our loyal customers – Obrigado!. - Johnny Cabianca

Performance Series Some people worry that a “high performance” shortboard is not for them. After all, 99% of us will never surf close to the level of today’s top pros, so why would we try to use their equipment? Well, that may be true of the nervous, anorexic pro boards of the past. But not today. Regardless of if you’re investing in your first shortboard or semi-pro, in the same way that these boards helped Gabriel win WCT events in waves from classic Teahupoo to shoulder high Snapper, they will help you surf at the absolute peak of your potential. Performance DFK 2.0 Be part of the evolution. From ‘Da Freak Kid’ to two-time world champion, we’ve loved watching Gabriel’s ascent, from high-flying teen prodigy to the all-round surfing virtuoso he is today. Just like his surfing, Gabriel’s go-to board has evolved constantly over the past decade, becoming faster, more balanced and ready for the most progressive power surfer on the planet. So to mark ten years of game-changing performance, we’re proud to present the DFK 2.0: the latest and greatest version of Gabriel Medina’s high performance pro model. Tuned to excel in quality waves, the DFK 2.0 will allow you to hit the lip with more power than ever before, while maintaining smooth flow and momentum down the line. Performance The Medina Being the world’s best contest surfer isn’t all about destroying the world’s best waves: it’s often more about winning decisive heats in marginal conditions. And that’s where The Medina comes in – this is Gabriel’s go-to board when he needs to make small waves look amazing, and it’s helped him win everything from his 2013 Junior World title to the first-ever WCT wavepool contest, the 2018 Surf Ranch Pro. Low rocker from nose to tail, a combination of concave to V bottom, and a flatter dome deck makes this board stable, yet very lively and responsive. Get this board 2 inches shorter than your usual shortboard. Whatever your level, the Medina will turn your bad days into fun days… and good days into classic days. Features SQUASH SWALLOW • Single concave to Vee • Low rocker • Fuller rails ROUND • Wider nose/fast paddling • Thruster Dimensions *available from 5’0" to 6’2" Length Width Thickness Volume 5’4” 17 ∕” 2” 20.5 L 5’6” 18 ∕” 2 ∕” 23.2 L 5’8” 18 ∕” 2 ∕” 25.3 L 5’10” 19 ∕“ 2 ∕” 27.5 L 5’11” 19 ∕” 2 /” 29.0 L 6’0” 20” 2 ∕” 30.8 L 6’2” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 34.0 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 6
Performance Bandida Turn every seven into a ten. After Gabriel Medina won #thetest contest at Kelly’s wave pool with this board, Johnny asked him how it went – his reply? “Bandida!”. Bandida (literally ‘Bandit’) is retro Brazilian slang for ‘badass’, and the nickname has stuck – even though there’s nothing retro about this ultra progressive shape. Designed for high performance surfing on less critical waves like Lowers, Snapper and Jeffreys Bay, The Bandida has low rocker and a deep double concave for generating tons of speed and drive, but doesn’t compromise on response on the face or agility in the air. Features SQUASH ROUND PIN • Single to double concave • V bottom on the tail • Little bump in the outline SWALLOW ROUND (backfoot) • Thruster Dimensions *available from 5’4" to 6’2” Length Width Thickness Volume 5'5” 18 ∕” 2 ∕” 21.0 L 5'7” 18 ∕” 2 ∕” 23.5 L 5'9” 18 ∕” 2 ∕” 26 L 5'11” 18 ∕“ 2 ∕” 28.5 L 6'0” 19″” 2 ∕” 30 L 6'1” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 31.5 L 6'2” 19 ∕“ 2 ∕” 33.5 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 7
Performance El Caballero To get the most out of a high performance surfboard, you need to be a high performance surfer, right? Wrong. The Caballero takes the Formula 1 DNA of our DFK 2.0 model and makes it just a little more forgiving, making it the weapon of choice for good surfers looking for excellent all-round performance. Perfect for power surfing, the Caballero has a mellow, versatile rocker, single concave, and fuller rails that still have lots of bite for good drive and rail-to-rail surfing. If you’re a bigger guy who loves hacking the lip – get this board. If you’re improving fast and learning to carve beautiful lines – get this board. If you still rip but don’t get in the water as much as you used to – get this board! Features SQUASH ROUND PIN • Single concave • Fuller rails • Good bottom rails SWALLOW ROUND • Thruster Dimensions *available from 5’10” to 6’6” Length Width Thickness Volume 5'11” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 30.5 L 6'0” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 31.3 L 6'1” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 32.7 L 6'2” 19 ∕“ 2 ∕” 34.0 L 6'3” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 34.8 L 6’4” 20” 2 ∕” 36.3 L 6’5” 20 ∕ “ 2 ∕” 38.15 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 8
Performance Muleke Our grommet model is built for maximum froth factor. Muleke is an affectionate Brazilian term for a young kid who is both smart and wild in equal amounts, so we think it’s a pretty good name for our Grom model, which is designed to be both forgiving enough to learn the basics, yet progressive enough to keep up with the modern grom’s insanely fast learning curve. The Muleke is based upon the DFK 2.0, re-dimensioned and adapted for surfers weighing less than 40KG. Features SQUASH ROUND PIN • Single concave • Low rails • Progressive narrow nose SWALLOW ROUND • Performance rocker • Thruster Dimensions *available from 4'0" to 5'2" Length Width Thickness Volume 4’2” 15 ∕” 1 ∕” 11.5 L 4’4” 15 ∕” 1 ∕” 13.0 L 4’6” 15 ∕” 2” 14.6 L 4’8” 15 ∕“ 2” 15.4 L 4’10” 16 ∕” 2 ∕” 16.8 L 5’0” 16 ∕” 2 ∕” 17.7 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 9
Summer Toys Series As a shaper, these ‘summer toys’ are some of my favouriteboards to make. Mainly because creating boards that are insanely fun to surf… are the most fun to design. For me, a good summer toy is a board that thrives in average-to-small conditions, catches tons of waves, yet still rips when the surf gets good. Anyone can make a cool looking summer board, but to have it still perform when the waves turn on? That’s the challenge that draws on every one of my 35 years of shaping experience. 10
Summer Toys Uber Twin Back in the 1970’s, Mark Richards revolutionized small wave surfboards with his twin-fin design, while in the past few years Uber have revolutionized transportation with their taxi app. Not that we’re saying our new Uber Twin shape is revolutionary – it’s just an insanely fun summer board that combines all the speed and looseness of a classic twin with the maneuverability of a modern performance shortboard. Run it with a twin fin setup for ultimate retro fun, or add the rear stabilizer fin for extra drive and control. If you’re looking for a small wave board that flies down the line and turns on a dime, get the Uber Twin. Features SQUASH SWALLOW • Twin fin +1 • Single to double concave ROUND Dimensions *available from 5'2" to 6'4" Length Width Thickness Volume 5'5” 18 ∕” 2 ∕” 25.5 L 5’7” 19 ∕” 2 ∕”” 27.5 L 5’9” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 29.5 L 5’11” 19 ∕” 2 ⁷∕” 31.5 L 6'1” 20” 2 ⁹∕” 34.5 L 6'3” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 37 L 6'4” 20 ∕“ 2 ∕” 37.8 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 11
Summer Toys 70's Twin Spirit of the seventies, performance of… now. Just like the spirit of the seventies, the twin fin never really died – it lives on in the muscle memory of old surfers and shapers, and in the upgraded designs of guys like Johnny, who learned from the masters. Johnny’s version has plenty of the cruisy retro feel of a classic twin, but with all the extra sensitivity and response you expect from a modern master of performance shapes. Features • Flat rocker • Flat dome deck SWALLOW • Old school rails • Fish tail • Twin fin Dimensions *available from 5'0" to 6'0" Length Width Thickness Volume 5'3” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 29.0 L 5'4” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 30.2 L 5'5” 20″” 2 ∕” 31.8 L 5'6” 20 ∕ “ 2 ∕” 33.5 L 5'7” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 35.0 L 5'8” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 37.5 L 5'10” 20 ∕“ 2 ∕” 39.0 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 12
Summer Toys XXX Obscenely high performance in a fun and friendly package. For this design we took the basic shape of The Medina and introduced elements that make stubby summer boards such wave catching machines – extra width, a fuller foil, a rocker and plenty of foam under the chest. Finally, we added a triple wing, making this board perfect for high velocity snaps and releases. Features SQUASH SWALLOW • Single concave to vee • Flat rocker • Full rails • Thruster ROUND • Triple wing Dimensions *available from 5’4" to 6'4" Length Width Thickness Volume 5’4” 18 ∕” 2 ∕” 25.0 L 5’6” 19” 2 ∕” 27.0 L 5’8” 19 ∕“ 2 ∕” 28.5 L 5’10” 19 ∕“ 2 ∕” 31.5 L 6’0” 20” 2 ∕” 33.5 L 6’2” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 36.5 L 6’4” 20 ∕ “ 2 ∕” 40.5 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 13
Summer Toys Candy The perfect entry to performance surfing. If you’ve mastered the basics and you’re itching to start throwing some spray around, the Candy is the perfect first step towards performance surfing. Plenty of DNA from The Medina, combined with all the ingredients you need to catch way more waves on average beach breaks: flat rocker, lots of foam under the chest, and a stable, easy glide for maximum control. Features SQUASH SWALLOW • Single concave to Vee • Flat rocker • Full rails ROUND • Thruster Dimensions *available from 5'4" to 6'4" Length Width Thickness Volume 5’5” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 24.0 L 5’7” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 26.0 L 5’9” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 28.5 L 5’11” 19 ∕“ 2 ∕” 31.3 L 6’0” 20” 2 ∕” 33.0 L 6’1” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 34.0 L 6’3” 20 ∕“ 2 ∕” 38.0 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 14
Summer Toys Go-to Guy This guy makes you love the waves you thought you hated. Summer doesn’t have to be a bummer, and when it comes to making the most of small, gutless surf, the Go-To Guy will always show you a good time. The secret to this board’s ultra high fun factor is how its high volume and width is combined with performance rails, subtle rocker and a single concave throughout, making it an easy-going wave catcher that still loves to be surfed progressively. Features • Single concave ROUND • Lower rocker • Medium rails • Thruster • Round nose Dimensions *available from 5’4" to 6'4" Length Width Thickness Volume 5’4” 19 ∕” 2 ∕” 27,3 L 5’6” 20“ 2 ∕” 30.5 L 5’8” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 33.0 L 5’10” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 35.0 L 6’0” 20 ∕” 2 ∕” 38.0 L 6’2” 21” 2 ∕” 41.0 L 6’4” 21 ∕ “ 3” 47.0 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 15

Misc. Wave Craft Visa Perfect for travellers, the VISA is our most versatile board. Designed for the older, experienced surfer who needs a little extra foam but still wants the performance feel of their favourite shortboard, the VISA works great in everything from knee-high grovelers to pumping overhead waves. Combining the rails and rocker of a performance shape with a fuller outline and higher volume also makes the VISA perfect for intermediate surfers working their way down to a shortboard. Features SQUASH ROUND PIN • Single concave to Vee • Performance rocker • Medium rails SWALLOW ROUND • Thruster Dimensions Length Width Thickness Volume 6’8” 21” 2 ∕” 41 L 7’0” 22” 3” 49.5 L 8’0” 22 ∕” 3 ∕” 62.5 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 17
Misc. Wave Craft Omelette Our personal take on a funboard classic. Perfect for beginners and surf schools, the Omelette is also ideal for intermediates looking for a cruisy board that works in a wide variety of conditions. What makes the Omelette better than your average Egg is its tip-to-tail vee bottom contour: this allows the fuller, high volume shape to remain responsive from rail to rail, while slicing through chop on windblown faces. Features SQUASH • Tip to tail Vee bottom • Funboard rocker • Medium rails ROUND • Round nose • Thruster Dimensions Length Width Thickness Volume 6’8” 21” 2 ∕” 44 L 7’0” 22” 3” 52.5 L 8’0” 22 ∕” 3 ∕” 67.0 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 18
Misc. Wave Craft Trimmer A modern twist on a timeless classic. The Trimmer is a longboard that follows in the footsteps of the greats – Jed Noll, Takayama – but adds a little extra dash of the radical performance Cabianca shapes are known for. The full rails, classic outline and flat rocker make for effortlessly smooth down-the-line surfing, while the subtle tip-to-tail vee bottom ensures fast and fluid transitions from rail to rail. Features SQUASH • V bottom with concave nose • Soft rails • Single fin or 2+1 ROUND Dimensions Length Width Thickness Volume 9'0” 22 ∕” 3” 68,5 L 9'2” 23” 3 ∕” 76.8 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 19
Misc. Wave Craft Slimmer We took the classic, sophisticated shape of the Trimmer and added a little performance edge to it. A pinch more rocker, less area in the nose, and a slimmer tail to increase both velocity and maneuverability. If you like combining big moves with a smooth flow, the Slimmer is the longboard for you. Features SQUASH • V bottom with concave nose • Soft rails • Single fin or 2+1 ROUND Dimensions Length Width Thickness Volume 9'0” 22 ∕” 3” 67,6 L 9'2” 23” 3 ∕” 75.8 L Small Medium Big Rookie Average Expert Wave Size Skill Level 20

SUP’s are made in EPS/epoxy construction. 21
Inland Surf Series Gone are the days when surfing was only accessible to those living in coastal areas. Since its inception, the sport has constantly pushed new boundaries and generated new concepts and technologies. With a rising level of inland surfing, the demand for high-performance surfboards tailor-made for a new variety of waves has also increased. But while traditional surfboards are a good entry point into the sport, the bottom line is inland (and wake) waves just don’t break the same way as ocean waves. As a new and rapidly evolving sport we’re really excited to be pioneering new inland surfboard designs that will help surfers at the cutting edge of the sport evolve even faster. For the past three years, we’ve been working with the best river and wake surfers to create the best inland surfing shapes on the market, and we’re now ready to make this an official category in our product offering. 22
Inland Surf Zero Salt Taking everything we’ve learned about the characteristics of static waves, The Zero Salt has been designed from the ground up for high performance surfing in rivers and wave pools. Extremely agile, responsive and built with a unique bottom shape, rocker and fin setup, this board makes zero compromises when it comes to fresh water ripping. Due to the high wear and tear when surfing rivers, we recommend ordering the EPS/Epoxy construction with reinforced fin plugs, carbon rails, and a solid tail patch. Features SQUASH ROUND PIN • Any fin combination possible • Full concave to double-V • Soft rails • Good entry to soft rocker SWALLOW ROUND on the tail Dimensions *(available from 5’0" to 5'10" Length Width Thickness Volume 5'2” 18 ∕” 2 ∕” 21.8 L 5’3” 19” 2 ∕” 23.1 L 5’4” 19” 2 ∕” 23.5 L 5’5” 19 ∕“ 2 ∕” 25.2 L Weak Medium Powerful Rookie Average Expert Wave Skill Level 23
Inland Surf Slash With its PU/Polyester construction, the Slash has a classic surfboard flex that’s designed to give you the feeling you’re surfing a real beach wave – even if you’re miles from the shoreline. To optimize the Slash for wake surfing, we reduced volume and honed down the rails to make it feel fast and super-responsive under your feet. Finally, we gave this board a small fin quad setup, for ultimate speed and plenty of drive.
