2020 COLLECTION
Born in the mid-1980’s in Normandy, France, the Oxbow brand has chosen nature and the relationship with the ocean
as its founding value. The brand puts emphasis on the quality of its products and the pleasure they bring, providing new
twists on fashion with an unconventional approach.
The early 2000s saw the emergence and incredible growth of Stand Up Paddle, a new sport born from the convergence
of these waves of enthusiasm. Oxbow has lent its support and experience to many top riders and events that have
given visibility and an enduring legacy to the sport. For 30 years, Oxbow has never stopped exploring new territories
and supporting riders in pursuit of their passions. Ludovic Dulou, watersports enthusiast, explores the new sports
of foilboarding and prone paddleboarding, the Teulade brothers, travel the world with their SUP while competing at
the highest level, Pierre Lopez, a professional lifeguard uses the prone paddleboard for his rescue work and as a new
competitive sport… Oxbow also lends its support to major sporting events around this new sport.
Around the same time in France the Bich family, of BIC pen fame, united their passion for the sea with expertise in
sustainable manufacturing to found BIC Sport which became a world leader in boardsports manufacturing, designing and
building paddleboards, surfboards and windsurf boards using exclusive construction technologies in Vannes, France.
These two iconic French brands joined forces to develop a complete range of Oxbow Stand Up Paddleboards that
embody the shared values, passion and philosophy of both companies. This exciting collaboration brought the best of
each brand to the forefront with products proudly manufactured at the BIC Sport factory in France* with the unique
Oxbow look, feel and spirit.
End of 2018, BIC Sport left the BIC group and became “Tahe Outdoors France”, starting a new chapter in the history
of the company. The Tahe Outdoors Group has kept alive BIC Sport’s core values, including the consideration for the
environment as a guiding principle of the company’s management and manufacturing activities
In 2020, Tahe Outdoors and Oxbow are launching a whole new range of Stand Up Paddle boards, but above all a brand
new surf boards range from the Oxbow design team.

The Discover series is designed for a quiet, smooth and stable
paddling experience cruising around your local lake, bay or river yet
is fully capable and proven as a serious expedition worthy board in
all types of conditions. A sharp vee entry at the nose parts the water
smoothly and transitions to a displacement hull through the front
half of the board for maximum responsiveness and maneuverability.
This transitions to a flat planing hull in the back half of the board for
stability and tracking. Available in two sizes to accommodate riders
from 80 to 260lbs.

Touring Perfection
Featuring our authentic wood construction, the Glide series
looks as good as the shapes perform. Excellent glide and stability
combine to deliver smooth performance for touring your local
waterway or setting out on more exciting excursions. Available
in two widths in the 12’6 (27” & 29”) & 14’ sizes (26” & 28”),
for 2020 we set out to make subtle refinements to the high-quality
OXBOW Glide Touring range. The nose shape has been refined for
cleaner entry into the water, and a smoother penetration of chops
and bumps. To add glide between strokes, the volume has been
slightly increased from just behind the nose to the standing area.
Finally, the deck has been reshaped at the tail to facilitate better
water drainage at the back of the board. The 2020 version of the
Glide Wood delivers improved glide and stability, giving you more
fun and less fatigue on all your outings and excursions.

Speed & Balance for Maximum Performance
The Peak Longboard bring traditional longboard performance from
surfing to a SUP Board. Essentially this is a subtle combination of
excellent glide for early take-offs and speed along the wave face,
driving and graceful turns off the tail on the face off the wave, and
noseriding stability. These boards maximize stability in a SUP context
with a flattened deck shape that extends the volume out towards
the rails. A little volume has been added to the center of the deck
profile and the rails are slightly more steeply pitched to maintain
sensitivity while riding waves, even with the added stability and glide
while catching them. Featuring our authentic wood construction,
the Peak Longboards will allow you to cruise the waves with style.

Prone Race
Serious prone race boards seek to blend glide, stability and comfort,
so that our top athletes can excel at the highest level.The new Oxbow
Prone Race board’s profile aims to maximize glide between strokes,
while putting the paddlers in the best position to gain the most
from every stroke, and be comfortable to carry this performance
throughout a race. Stability and tracking are maximized to help
keep the racer focused on moving forward towards the finish line.
As always, decades of open water paddling experience inform our
shapes so they can pick-up any swell and maximize glide. Featuring a
full C-TEC Carbon Wood construction, the Prone Race combines a
pleasing aesthetic with a race-ready lightweight and stiffness.
Prone Discover
The Oxbow Prone Discover sets the pace for a new recreational/
adventure category in prone paddleboards. These boards are
much more stable and user-friendly than their racing cousins.
Compared to the Prone Race, the fore deck is flatter and better
able to accommodate gear for day-trips camping, fishing, or
whatever the next ocean adventure has in store. Featuring our
authentic wood construction, these boards combine the best of
a beautiful aesthetic and durable performance.

DISCOVER
Lightweight, Rigid, Durable, Portable
Oxbow AIR inflatable paddleboards feature ultra-light, durable and
extremely rigid construction for performance typically found only
in rigid boards. By adding a non-stretch stringer along the top and
bottom center line together with double layer rail construction
we’ve reduced weight, dramatically increased rigidity and improved
ease of re-rolling and packing the board after use. The AIR models
inflate to a rigid 15psi and come with an oversize wheeled backpack
for ease of transport and storage, rugged two-way pump with gauge,
packing straps, removable center fin with easy on/off thumb screw,
repair kit and valve wrench.
