Prince of Peace Christian School Proudly Presents Camp POP Specialty Camps 2021 for Preschool - 12th Grade Registration for Camp POP Specialty Camps: Registration is easy! Pick out your camps, click on the registration links in this email, click on the Camp POP icon in the POPCS APP or access summer information on the POPCS website at www.popcs.org. Each week of camp will have a separate registration form. Only camps for that week will be included on the form. One registration form must be completed for each student attending. A non-refundable $5.00 service fee will be assessed for each registered week of camp. Participants in Eagle Strong strength and conditioning camp will be assessed a $10 service fee. Service fees cover credit card processing and other administrative fees. Camp fees will be paid in full at the time of registration. Camp registrations will be accepted until the start date of camp or until the camp fills. Registrations can be cancelled up to one week before the start of camp for a full refund. Service fees will not refunded for camps cancelled by the camper. If a camp is cancelled by Prince of Peace due to insufficient enrollment, parents will be notified immediately. In this case, both camp and service fees will be refunded in full or credited towards another Camp POP Specialty Camp. Children who are also enrolled in Camp POP Zone full day care will be picked up by the camp instructors and taken to their specialty camp. The camp instructor will bring students back to Camp POP Zone. Please indicate on the registration form if your child will be attending Camp POP Zone the week of camp. Questions? Players develop the proper mechanics of the following strokes: forehand, backhand, volley, and overhead. A variety of game-based drills are incorporated into the learning process in a fun, yet competitive atmosphere. Each morning begins with a light dynamic warm-up followed by a theme of the day and concludes with a variety of games and supervised point play. Players are grouped according to age and ability level. A minimum of 4 players is required for classes to be held. Classes may be combined in order to fulfill minimum requirement. Eagles Baseball Camp Come sharpen up your skills at our POP baseball camp!! From beginners to those that have played several years – all skill levels are welcome! Coach Ashcraft will run a fun-filled week of camp full of all things baseball! For: 1st – 5th Grades Time: 8:30 – 10:30 AM Instructor: Karl Ashcraft, POPCS Varsity Baseball Assistant Coach Cost: $150 Draw, Doodle, Paint and Create Do you like to draw or doodle but don’t consider yourself an artist? Join the club! Spend a week just having fun drawing, doodling, painting, and creating with no pressure or artistic expectations other than making something YOU love! All materials will be provided, but you are also welcomed and encouraged to bring something special you’d like to use! We will have paper, canvases, paints, markers, pencils, etc. Each day we will try new ideas and spend time working on a masterpiece of our own creation! Mamma Mia Pizzeria Mamma mia I’ve got to have pizza! What delicious fun we will have mixing literature, math, art and science while baking up different kinds of pizza. Master your kitchen skills, learn to follow a recipe and prepare a slice of the best pizza pie! Please let camp instructors know of any food allergies! For: K-Prep – 3rd Grade Time: 1:00-3:00 PM Instructor: Rachel Sosinski and Eunice Meyer Cost: $130 Boys Just Want to Build Let your inner architect out! Join our “hard hat” zone as we create an indoor carwash, rescue frozen army men, build a roly- poly habitat after our famous Bug Safari, and race marble runs. Smash matchbox cars in the demolition derby ring or build in our giant Lego tent. From Transformers to lightsabers, we’ll engineer a fun-filled week at the construction site, including a day of Nerf gun target blasting for prizes! We will learn and/or review cheers, put together a cute dance, play lightning and other games (indoors and maybe outside) and indulge in some cute crafts as time allows. Game On! Get your game on with a week of energized activities including our famous Life-Sized Candyland (with candy, of course), baseball pinball, nerf gun fun, and glow-in-the-dark adventures. We’ll go wild with a day of water blasters and over 300 water balloons (bring a towel and change of clothes!). We’ll top the week off with a midway of carnival games where everyone’s a prize winner! Shh! Have You Heard the Secrets the Letters Are Telling Us??? Have you heard the secret stories the letters in words are telling? Did you know that the letters of the alphabet have super heroes and have personalitites that make them act a lot like people you know? Did you know the “t” and “h” don’t like each other and are always fighting and doing raspberries at each other? “A” and “u” are in love and always say “ahhh”. Then of course there is the story about the Mommy E, the Fonzie syle “ay” and “ey” and much more. Students will have fun as they learn to look for the secret stories in the words they see around them and discover their secrets for improving reading and spelling skills. These secrets are for the beginning readers as well as the independent readers. Kids, come learn these secrets that your parent probably don’t eve know about!
