       Camp POP Specialty Camps 2021
                     for Preschool - 12th Grade
                   Registration for Camp POP Specialty Camps:
Registration is easy! Pick out your camps, click on the registration links in this email, click on the
Camp POP icon in the POPCS APP or access summer information on the POPCS website at
www.popcs.org. Each week of camp will have a separate registration form. Only camps for that
week will be included on the form. One registration form must be completed for each student
attending.
A non-refundable $5.00 service fee will be assessed for each registered week of camp.
Participants in Eagle Strong strength and conditioning camp will be assessed a $10 service fee.
Service fees cover credit card processing and other administrative fees.
Camp fees will be paid in full at the time of registration. Camp registrations will be accepted until
the start date of camp or until the camp fills. Registrations can be cancelled up to one week
before the start of camp for a full refund. Service fees will not refunded for camps cancelled by the
camper.
If a camp is cancelled by Prince of Peace due to insufficient enrollment, parents will be notified
immediately. In this case, both camp and service fees will be refunded in full or credited towards
another Camp POP Specialty Camp.
Children who are also enrolled in Camp POP Zone full day care will be picked up by the camp
instructors and taken to their specialty camp. The camp instructor will bring students back to
Camp POP Zone. Please indicate on the registration form if your child will be attending Camp
POP Zone the week of camp.

Direction/Agility, Mobility, Flexibility, and Explosive Strength & Conditioning

Tennis Camp
Experience tennis, the “sport for a lifetime”! Players develop the proper mechanics of the following strokes: forehand,
backhand, volley, and overhead. A variety of game-based drills are incorporated into the learning process in a fun, yet
competitive atmosphere. Each morning begins with a light dynamic warm-up followed by a theme of the day and concludes
with a variety of games and supervised point play. Players are grouped according to age and ability level. A minimum of 4
players is required for classes to be held. Classes may be combined in order to fulfill minimum requirement.

For:              Boys & Girls, 1st -12th grades

Time:             1st-2nd Grade Boys & Girls, 8:00-9:00 AM ($90)

                  3rd-8th Grade Boys & Girls, 9:00-10:30 AM ($135)

Eagles HS Volleyball Team Camp
Volleyball skills and drills – team and individual skills and strategies – led by Coach Henke, Coach Kemrite and alumni
POPCS players (many of whom are playing collegiately) – if you plan on trying out for our POPCS high school teams, we
highly recommend that you attend camp!

For:              9th-12th Grade Girls

Time:             10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Tuesday through Friday)

Little Eagles Volleyball Camp

players (many of whom are playing collegiately). Brush up on your volleyball skills with fun, age-appropriate drills! All
experience levels are welcome – from beginners to those that have played several years – we will accommodate all!!

MS Eagles Volleyball Camp
Volleyball skills and drills – team and individual skills and strategies – led by Coach Henke and current/alumni POPCS
players (many of whom are playing collegiately). We will go over many of the individual and team skills that will be utilized
during the fall school season. If you are planning on trying out for the fall season at POP, we highly encourage you to
attend summer camp!

Eagles Baseball Camp
Come sharpen up your skills at our POP baseball camp!! From beginners to those that have played several years – all skill
levels are welcome! Coach Ashcraft will run a fun-filled week of camp full of all things baseball!

For:              1st – 5th Grades

Draw, Doodle, Paint and Create
Do you like to draw or doodle but don’t consider yourself an artist? Join the club! Spend a week just having fun drawing,
doodling, painting, and creating with no pressure or artistic expectations other than making something YOU love! All
materials will be provided, but you are also welcomed and encouraged to bring something special you’d like to use! We will
have paper, canvases, paints, markers, pencils, etc. Each day we will try new ideas and spend time working on a
masterpiece of our own creation! Everything we make will be yours to take home at the end of the week.

For:              4th-8th Grades

Pirates and Princesses, Oh My!
Ahoy mates and ladies! Peg legs and pearls, treasure chests and crowns of gold – what else could this week of fun unfold?
We will do all things pirates and princesses! Dress in your favorite pirate, princess and fairytale costumes. Come join us for
a great week of make-believe fun.

For:              PS 4 – 1st Grade

Mamma Mia Pizzeria
Mamma mia I’ve got to have pizza! What delicious fun we will have mixing literature, math, art and science while baking up
different kinds of pizza. Master your kitchen skills, learn to follow a recipe and prepare a slice of the best pizza pie! Please
let camp instructors know of any food allergies!

For:               K-Prep – 3rd Grade

Time:              1:00-3:00 PM

Boys Just Want to Build
Let your inner architect out! Join our “hard hat” zone as we create an indoor carwash, rescue frozen army men, build a roly-
poly habitat after our famous Bug Safari, and race marble runs. Smash matchbox cars in the demolition derby ring or build
in our giant Lego tent. From Transformers to lightsabers, we’ll engineer a fun-filled week at the construction site, including a
day of Nerf gun target blasting for prizes!

For:               PS 4 – 4th grade – Boys Only

A Book Party A Day!
We will go all out and explore a favorite children’s book each day of camp! Activities will include themed dress up, making
story related snacks and interpreting the story and characters through acting, song, dance and art!

For:              PS 3 – Kindergarten

Pep Squad Camp
A little bit of cheer, dance, games, crafts, etc., mixed in with a whole lot of FUN! We will learn and/or review cheers, put
together a cute dance, play lightning and other games (indoors and maybe outside) and indulge in some cute crafts as time
allows.

For:              K-Prep – 2nd Grade – Girls only

Game On!
Get your game on with a week of energized activities including our famous Life-Sized Candyland (with candy, of course),
baseball pinball, nerf gun fun, and glow-in-the-dark adventures. We’ll go wild with a day of water blasters and over 300
water balloons (bring a towel and change of clothes!). We’ll top the week off with a midway of carnival games where
everyone’s a prize winner!

Calling All Girls!
Twirl into a magical world with stables full of My Little Ponies, Littles Pet Shop (over 100 pets), Disney Princesses, Polly
Pocket, and more! Enjoy a Barbie beach party, decorate a life-sized playhouse, rescue Frozen jewels (to keep), play dress-
up, or have a tea party. Each day we’ll create a one-of-a-kind wonderland and do an awesome girly craft, and we’ll top it off
with a cupcake decorating party for a finale!

For:              PS 4 – 3rd Grade – Girls only

Shh! Have You Heard the Secrets the Letters Are Telling Us???
Have you heard the secret stories the letters in words are telling? Did you know that the letters of the alphabet have super
heroes and have personalitites that make them act a lot like people you know? Did you know the “t” and “h” don’t like each
other and are always fighting and doing raspberries at each other? “A” and “u” are in love and always say “ahhh”. Then of
course there is the story about the Mommy E, the Fonzie syle “ay” and “ey” and much more. Students will have fun as they
learn to look for the secret stories in the words they see around them and discover their secrets for improving reading and
spelling skills. These secrets are for the beginning readers as well as the independent readers. Kids, come learn these
secrets that your parent probably don’t eve know about!

Pom Cheer Camp
We invite rising 3rd-5th graders to participate in an exciting week attending a new summer camp…Pom Cheer Camp! We
will learn cheer and dance skills to include chants, jumps, dance and stunt basics. Please wear tennis shoes and shorts or
leggings.

Going on a Bear Hunt
We’re going on a bear hunt – Camp fun without the sleepover! Want the camp experience but not quite ready for a
sleepover camp? Come experience classroom camping at its finest! We will play camp games, learn camp cheers and
songs, make fun camp snacks, play in camping themed centers and more!

Ohh la la! Come join us for an enchanting week of fun inspired by the Fancy Nancy books by Jane O’Conner. Everything is
better when it’s fancy! We will have fun reading Nancy books and playing in the fancy world of Nancy! Fancy crafts, tea
party, and enchanting play! Come join us for a fun week to delight any little girl!

Dance Camp with the Eaglettes
Learn how to dance like an Eaglette! We will work on basic dance skills and moving in time to the music. Dancers will learn
routines in different styles of dance. They will also learn a version of the POPCS Fight Song and will have the opportunity to
perform with the Eaglettes Drill Team in 2021!

For:              PS4-6th Grade

Basketball Camp
My professional experience and unique approach will provide the traction necessary for athletes to hit the ground running. I
personally work with each trainee to help them achieve their individual athletic goals. I push but I also motivate. Early on, I
identify what each client is capable of with my goal being to help them reach, then exceed that potential while building true
confidence. Fundamental basketball and an understanding is key.
