Scope of Bulletin 2 Bulletin 1 was issued in December last year and preliminary entry was open until the end of January 2020. Now, the final entry phase is running until 15th of April and numerous teams have already entered. The final entered participants can be seen on the championship website: www.f4c.no Of course, all teams are now preparing their participation. This Bulletin should be delivering the currently needed information. If there is anything that is missing, please do not hesitate to contact us by email. Our contacts are listed at the end of this Bulletin. List of Preliminary Entries We are proud to have preliminary entries from 82 pilots and 15 nations. Poland 3 3 Greece 3 Netherlands 1 1 34 40 8 Final Entry (FEF) and Delivery of Personal Data Although the closing date for entries is April 15, 2020, we would appreciate very much to receive the FEF as soon as possible, preferably end of Mars. The reason for that is, that we are already working on the official printed program which will include a short introduction of the participants (including portrait pictures). For helpers we need a limited set of information. We will send a form to the TM who will provide the required information. 3
The Flightline The flight line in both F4C and F4H is north/south. The pilots view is towards west in F4C and east in F4H with aprox 200m separation back to back. 4
Model Crates (Transport and Shipment) Meanwhile the teams are already preparing their own journey, and also the transportation of their models. If models are being shipped by air transport, the shipment address is the following: Jarlsberg Luftsportsenter Flyplassveien 6 3170 Sem Norway Mark all cargo with: “Sportsutstyr VM Skala 2020” If there are issues for the local shipping company in Norway at delivery time, they may contact Roger Heggelund (on the airfield) or Pål Anthonisen of our committee ( live nearby the airfield): Roger Heggelund mobil 0047 47618781 Pål Lindèn Anthonisen mobil 0047 92255495 A return address label for your model crate must be provided by each pilot at the conclusion of the Scale World Championship and affixed to the model crate by the pilot. Shipments by any other means or car/camper/truck must be handled directly by the model owner or pilot. Fuel, Gas, Batteries and Compressed Air • Due to airline restrictions on the transportation of fuel, including jet fuel and oil and also batteries, supplies will be available on site for competitors if needed. • If you are not able to transport your own supplies, please contact us until end of May by email paul.anthonisen@gmail.com. We will provide the required supplies to you, which must be paid during the check-in and registration through the TM at the airfield. • Power plugs for air compressors and charging devices are delivered by the organizers for each team at their space in the model hangar. Accommodation Since the competition takes place during summer high season, please book your accommodation as soon as possible. Contacts see Bulletin 1 - Accommodation. Camping on site is possible with power and WC/shower. 20 euro night. Payment at the site when arriving. TM must send in reservation for the Team before 15th april. Form will be on the website. Saturday Agust 1 09:00 - 11:30: Competition flights round 3, F4H, in ascending order, top 10 12:00 - 14:30: Competition flights round 3, F4C, in ascending order, top 10 16:00: Official prize giving, awards and closing ceremony at the airfield 18:30: Closing banquet for teams and supporters, (payed in advance at final entry, get voucher at registration) Sunday, July 15 Departure day Practice Flights / Training Schedule Practice Flying will take place from Thursday, July 23 until Saturday, July 25 based on a line up system controlled by the flighline directors. Practice flying takes place at the very same place as the contest flights. No practice flights will be allowed for the duration of the contest after the first round of flying has commenced. Model Aircraft Specification Certificates and Contestant Declaration Form The fully completed, signed and stamped by the applicable NAC, Model Aircraft Specification Certificates and Contestant Declaration Forms for each team member must be handed in during the initial registration (3 copies). Airfield Access and Opening Hours The Hangars will be closed and locked from 20:00 to 07:00 Internet Access There will be wireless internet at the airfield Electricity 50Hz/230Volt power will be provided on site and in the model storage area. Each team may bring their own power converters and plug adapters to the Norwegian standard outlet (find it at your local DIY-Store). 7
