Our aim is to step up such format-free, out-of-the-box collaborative efforts by working together with advertisers in an effort to showcase the values of their brands and associate them with the programmes broadcast on our channels. We are delighted that Unilever opted to place its trust in IP TV’s Crea Lab to promote its new product Axe Black using an innovative new editorial partnership and tell people about the coolest, trendiest places and fashion hot spots in the most densely populated cities of Belgium.” Valérie Morfitis, Unilever’s Country Media Manager, says: “Axe is a global brand whose marketing mix has developed internationally. Alongside more conventional campaigns designed to raise its profile, we are firm believers in the fundamental value of embedding the brand in a local context. We brought in one partner in the north and IP TV in the south to work on the joint development of content relevant to Axe’s core target group. Our aim in so doing was to enlist our consumers’ Stéphane Coruble, Director, IP TV loyalty to the brand in Belgium. This top-quality content is of course broadcast on Plug RTL, but is also disseminated via our digital, multi- channel communication plan so as to increase the number of touch points with our customers”. Axe Brand Manager Ankatrin Pessemier adds: “Axe Black is a totally new kind of Axe. In a world that is becoming increasingly agitated, we are looking for subtlety, as expressed by our slogan “Less is more”. The collaboration with Plug RTL on the Axe Black Guide is totally in keeping with this strategy. Together with several magnetic personalities, we will go in search of the coolest hangouts in a number of large cities. We are also creating unique content that we will be able to share across different platforms, thereby extending our reach beyond the conventional channels used to advertise.” The Black Pass presented each week a different Belgian city 21
