Bulldog Boot Camp Why students only? ► One of our goals at BHS is to give students a sense of ownership of their learning and provide opportunities for students to grow into responsible, high-achieving adults. Providing students with the time to start this process on their own is a stepping stone for this goal. ► “Everybody is responsible for every student”…this starts with the students learning to be responsible for themselves.
Bulldog Boot Camp What will they do? ► Pick-up schedules (If Registered) ► Take school pictures (Dress Code) ► Be able to put money in lunch account ► Learn about and sign-up for clubs ► Technology information and log-ins ► Student Rights and Responsibilities ► Hear from our SRO’s ► Sportsmanship and athletics ► See our school nurses ► Tours and schedule walk will not be available due to construction ► Schedule walks will be Friday and Monday between 9am and 3pm.

Goals/Expectations ► Grade 9: 11 Credits and determine diploma track – Core 40 - AHD. ► Grade 10: 22 Credits, pass Algebra 1 and English 10 I- Step. ► 98% Attendance rate ► 99% Graduation rate
Graduation Requirements The 9th grade year is the time to begin planning for graduation and post- secondary plans. Indiana Core 40 Diploma Subject Area # of Credits (43 Total) English/L.A. 9 Credits Mathematics 6 Credits Science 6 Credits Social Studies 6 Credits Directed Electives 3 Credits PE 2 Credits Health and Wellness 1 Credit Fine Arts 1 Credit Practical Arts 1 Credit Electives 8 Credits
Graduation Requirements The 9th grade year is the time to begin planning for graduation and post- secondary plans. Indiana Core 40 with Academic Honors (OUR GOAL) This is the recommended diploma for four year colleges and universities. ► Earn 2 Additional CORE 40 Math credits 47 Total ► Earn 6-8 CORE 40 World Language Credits Credits ► Earn 2 CORE 40 fine arts credits ► Earn a grade of C- or above in courses that count towards diploma ► Have a GPA of a “B” or above, and Complete AP courses (4 credits) and corresponding AP Exams Complete dual credit courses from an accredited institution (6 credits) Complete a combination of AP courses (2 credits) and Exams and dual credit courses from an accredited institution (3 credits) Score 1200 or higher combined SAT critical reading and mathematics Score a 26 or higher composite on the ACT

Important Notes Communication ► Don’t “Unsubscribe” on e-mail (We can tell) BEMS Locker situation and requests (Boot Camp with Ms. Harrison) School Day 7:50 – 2:50 ► Wednesdays 7:50 – 2:20 Supply list ► Have paper, writing utensil, and be ready to get a list of a few specific needs for each class. ► Laptops not needed at school this year.
Other Important Notes ► Deliveries No fast food Balloons and flowers - deliveries not allowed ► Clinic Medication in UNOPENED, original containers Protocol for illness/dismissal ► Absences Call as soon as possible – before 10:00am Doctor notes to Ms. Harrison in Team 2022 office ► Late to school Call Ms. Harrison and drop child off at Door #1 ► Early Dismissal Call as soon as possible the day of the appointment Pick-up child at Door #1 (Park at track) ► Call ahead preferred. If picking up without a phone call, may be asked for ID.
Dress Code All shorts/skirts must be near fingertip in length with arms at sides and not be unduly revealing. All shirts/tops must have a sleeve and be long enough to be able to have enough material, two inches, to be tucked into pants/shorts. Clothing that is suggestive, has a double meaning or innuendo, or suggests an inappropriate idea is unacceptable. Plunging neck lines and excessive exposure is not acceptable. Our gauge for necklines will be 3”; the length of a standard business card. No undergarments should be visible (male or female) whether standing or sitting.
Transportation ► Morning Drop-Off at BHS Before school (7:00-7:50) Doors #14, #12 SA During school (7:50-2:50) Doors #1, #12 SA ► Bus Students Elink will be available on the transportation website on July 30th Bus Lot – no cars
