COVID-19 Guidelines The event will strive to follow the Greater St. Louis Area Council (GSLAC) BSA guidelines for COVID-19. Additional information can be found at https://stlbsa.org/covid- operational-guidance/ To reiterate a few sections from BSA documents: • As stated in the Restart Scouting Checklist: “Precautions and mitigation strategies are important, but they cannot eliminate the potential for exposure to COVID-19 or any other illness when in-person activities resume…. Every member, volunteer and family must evaluate their unique circumstances and make an informed decision before attending in-person activities.” • Even with strict precautions and safety measures, there is still a possibility of COVID-19 at the event. By attending a GSLAC event, parents and participants acknowledge they will do their best to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and know that there is always a risk. • Masks are required to be worn indoors by every person at camp regardless of age or whether someone has been vaccinated. Masks must always cover both nose and mouth unless actively eating or drinking. The following are acceptable masks to wear at the event: o Two or more layers of washable breathable fabric, that cover your nose and mouth completely, and snug on all sides o Neck gaiters or buffs are acceptable if there are two layers of cotton fabric o Do not wear a mask with an exhalation valve or vent o Face shields are only accepted if a mask is also worn with them.
