Dear Barton Community, Through the implementation of the BartonBold Strategic Plan, Barton College experienced exponential growth and vibrancy during the past five years. Now, it’s important to recognize these accomplishments and celebrate the milestones achieved thus far. BartonBold 2016-2021 IMPACT REPORT REPORT The BartonBold Impact Report summarizes outcomes, accomplishments, and milestones from the 2016-2021 BartonBold Strategic Plan. Barton’s core values are at the heart of our mission: providing programs and opportunities to encourage the intellectual, spiritual, social, and cultural development of its students and challenge them for future leadership and service to their local and global communities. BUILT A STRONG BRAND Storytelling and critical messaging were essential components of a campaign to increase its visibility and enhance the image of Barton. Prepared Students in Leadership Roles to be Bold Thinkers and Bold Leaders Integrating emotional intelligence skills development into the First-Year Experience program garnered attention from employers who recognize the importance of relational skills to employment success. The BB&T (now Truist) Leadership Development Program was established for graduate and undergraduate students. The Barton Experience and the Barton Blueprint, as a part of the First-Year Seminar, were adopted to create a distinctive educational experience for entering students.
