Through the implementation of the BartonBold Strategic Plan, Barton College
experienced exponential growth and vibrancy during the past five years. Now, it’s important
to recognize these accomplishments and celebrate the milestones achieved thus far.

These achievements exemplify the dedication of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, trustees,
and stakeholders who contributed to making 2016-21 our most prolific years to date.Your
steadfast commitment has ignited the “light of life” that we celebrate in our college motto
Habebunt Lumen Vitae.

The College focused its efforts on areas of most significant impact to uniquely reposition
Barton and trailblaze a new path to the higher education landscape.

By staying true to our mission, vision, and core values, by further developing our distinctive

 The BartonBold Impact Report summarizes outcomes, accomplishments, and
 milestones from the 2016-2021 BartonBold Strategic Plan.

                                     BRAND

                                     Storytelling and critical messaging were essential
                                     components of a campaign to increase its visibility
                                     and enhance the image of Barton. The College
                                     implemented a targeted marketing effort and
                                     launched the Where Bold Thinkers Form
                                     Bold Leaders campaign on a variety of platforms,
                                     including print, broadcast, outdoor, web, and
                                     social media.

    who recognize the importance of relational

    The BB&T (now Truist) Leadership
    Development Program was established
    for graduate and undergraduate students.
    The Barton Experience and the Barton
    Blueprint, as a part of the First-Year
    Seminar, were adopted to create a distinctive
    educational experience for entering students.
