Day 3 For your first round of golf on this trip it does not get any better than this as you tee off at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club, recognized as one of the leading golf clubs in Australia with two of the pre-eminent golf courses in the world. The Club was founded in 1891 and has been host to numerous national and international tournaments. Designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie, the generous fairways and fast and firm conditions provide good challenges for both low and high handicap players. After golf, youwill return to the hotel for a chance to rest up before heading out for a unique dinner experience at/onthe Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. Glide along the scenic streets of Melbourne on a fleet of historical trams that have become the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant. These glossy, burgundy restaurants on wheels ensure a delightful innovative approach to dining. As you cruise the city streets of Melbourne, you will enjoy a 5 course meal complete with quality Australian wines or your choice from the fully stocked bar. Day 4 Your next round of golf will be at the Woodlands Golf Club, currently ranked 16th in Australia by Golf Australia magazine. The Club is renowned for its pure bent grass greens, iconic layout and lively club atmosphere. Internationally recognized course architect Tom Doak regards Woodlands as one of the finest courses on the Sandbelt. In today's long driving golfing culture, the course remains relevant through timeless design that limits a player's ability to overpower the course, courtesy of the narrow fairways, cunningly placed hazards and small greens that are the hallmarks of this metropolitan layout. Day 5 This will be a break from golf as you depart for the Yarra Valley, just an hour's drive north of Melbourne, for a day of wine tasting. On this tour you will discover the richness of the Yarra Valley's thriving wine industry with tastings at the cellar doors of Yering Farm, Balgownie Estate and Steels Gate Wines with an a La Carte Lunch at Balgownie Estate, accompanied by a glass of the estate's wine. And to top the tour off in style you will take a privately conducted tour of Domaine Chandon, complemented with a glass of their premium sparkling wine. Day 6 It is time to head to your next destination as you check out of your hotel and take the 30 minute flight to Launceston, Tasmania. Tasmania is renowned for its untouched wilderness, pristine coastline, cool climate wines and fresh local produce. The rugged north east coast of Australia's island state is one of the most ideal places in the world for a links golf course. It's on this coastal strip, where stark beaches fold into undulating farmlands, that Barnbougle Golf Links has been crafted out of an extraordinary landscape. On arrival in Tasmania, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the Barnbougle Lost Farm Lodge. The remainder of the day will be free to enjoy the area and amenities of the lodge.
Day 7 Barnbougle is now a name that represents two iconic golf courses, true golfing treasures for both the enthusiast and social golfer. This is a destination that resonates of the game's connection to ancient Scotland and Ireland. Ruthless Marram Grass, wide open fairways and exquisite hole layouts make for an unforgettable challenge. With fresh Tasmanian air and the omnipresent echo of crashing waves, Barnbougle is the perfect golfing getaway. Today you will head out for your first round of Barnbougle golf, this one on the Lost Farm course. Day 8 Today will be another special day as you play what is considered one of the best courses in Australia, the Barnbougle Dunes Golf Course. Meandering along Tasmania's dramatic North East coast, it's where breathtaking scenery and thrilling golf truly come together. Designed by Tom Doak, the course flourishes in the coastal environment. Fairways are wide, wider than most golfers will have experienced on traditional courses. The greens are lively; rolling with the natural undulation of the dunes and with the 4th hole boasting the largest bunker in the southern hemisphere, this course is designed to challenge. Day 9 It is now time to move on again so after checking out of your hotel, you head for the airport and your flight to Sydney. Colonial history, stunning architecture, superb waterways, gracious harbourside suburbs and friendly people epitomize the vibrance of this spectacular city. Set on the beautiful blue Sydney Harbour, this fast paced city of cosmopolitan character is one of the world's most beautiful places. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel where the remainder of day is free to relax. Day 10 This first day in Sydney will give you an overview of the city as you have a half day tour that will include views of Sydney Opera House, Hyde Park, Darling Harbour and Bondi Beach before boarding the Magistic Cruise for you lunch on the Harbour. Day 11 Today you head back to the golf course for a round at the New South Wales Golf Club. The NSW Golf Club is located on a peninsula overlooking Botany Bay and the views are spectacular, as is the golf Course! Ranked in the top 5 courses in the country, it is probably one of the toughest, especially if it is windy the day you play, so add 5 strokes to your handicap and enjoy the experience!
Day 12 Your next round of golf for this tour will be at the Bonnie Doon Golf Club. This par 71 course is the third oldest in Sydney and one of the oldest in Australia, a hard but just test for golfers of all levels. Incorporating undulating fine greens, it is recognized as one of the best putting surfaces in NSW. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy your last night in Sydney. Day 13 It is time to head to your last stop for this program. After checking out of your hotel, you will be transferred to the airport for the flight from Sydney to Hamilton Island. Part of the Whitsundays, and in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island is one of Australia's most spectacular and sought-after holiday destinations. Here, you'll be surrounded by pristine white beaches, and a kaleidoscope of coral and marine life which makes the island a perfect base for exploring the Great Barrier Reef and world-famous Whitehaven Beach. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Day 14 This will be the last day of golf and for it you will be playing Hamilton Island Golf Club. Situated at the edge of the Great Barrier Reef, Hamilton Island Golf Club, has some of the most spectacular views and settings for golf holes of any golf course in the world. Designed by five-times British Open winner Peter Thomson, the 18-hole par 71 championship course is located on nearby Dent Island so your transfer to the course will be by boat! Day 15 For today, you get to experience the world of the Great Barrier Reef as you are taken to Reefworld, a multilevel reef facility permanently moored 39 nautical miles from shore at spectacular Hardy Reef. Snorkel, swim, dive and explore – an undersea encounter with this amazing ecosystem is unforgettable. Or if you'd rather stay dry, experience the reef from our underwater observatory or take a ride in a semi-submarine. After a sumptuous buffet lunch, you'll have more time to explore before you head back to your hotel.
