2 | LETTER FROM THE PASTOR Dear Parish Family, Jesus is truly risen just as He said! This fundamental reality, this foundational understanding of the nature of existence, is our Christian core. It’s not an intellectual system or an ethical code. The truth that Jesus is alive colors and effects the way we live our lives. It reminds us where our joy comes from and what gives us hope in times of trial. The knowledge that He’s Alive is the basis of everything we say and do as Christians! As we celebrate and commemorate this fundamental truth of our Faith, allow me to wish you and those you love a very Happy Easter! Your priests are praying for you each and every day. If you need anything, we’re around. Please give a call or shoot us an email. If you’re visiting and you’d like to find your way to the Catholic Church or find your way home if you haven’t been practicing in a while, I would LOVE to talk to you. Please feel free to call at (630) 232-0124 or email me at frbakkelund@gmail.com. Once again, Happy Easter! May Our Lady, Cause of Our Joy, intercede for you and obtain for you graces of holiness and Easter gladness. Saint Peter, Prince of the Apostles, pray for us! Prayers Always, Father Bakkelund ST.
