APPLICATION PREPARATION PACKET (APP)
NURSING BRIDGE TRACK
SUMMER SEMESTER 2022 START
This packet is for students who wish to submit application in Spring Semester 2022 for
Bridge Track to start in Summer Semester 2022. This is the only opportunity to start the
Bridge Track in 2022. Applicants choose BRIDGE: LPN or PARAMEDIC on program
application form.
Students combine this APP with the Program Core Information Packet to review
program requirements and criteria necessary to submit program application. The

APP- Bridge Track Summer 2022 Start- IntroductionPre-Requisite Coursework
Pre-requisite coursework includes general education courses necessary to meet
College requirements for the AS degree and general education courses specific to the
nursing program.
Program requirements for pre-requisite coursework:
• Must complete by end of Spring Semester 2022
• Must earn minimum grade of “C”
• Must show outcome of Area and/or Course substitutions by end of Spring
Semester 2022
• Must complete the credit hours (CH) indicated in pre-requisite course list

Determine your “consideration point”:
• Start at Fall Semester 2021
• Count back ten (10) years
• Land on Fall Semester 2011
Fall Semester 2011 is the first semester you may start blinding course work.
Set your “blind point”:
• Determine how far behind your consideration point you wish to start blinding course work
for manual GPA calculation
• Create balance among blinded coursework, loss of pre-requisite coursework, and GPA
benefit
o ENC1101 is preserved if completion of ENC1102 with minimum grade of “C” is
not blinded
o MAC1105 or MGF1106 is preserved if completion of higher level math course
with minimum grade of “C” is not blinded
• All coursework including the semester you set blind point and behind is blinded- you may
not pick and choose specific courses
• Grade Forgiveness applies before Grade Amnesty; blinded courses already cancelled by
grade forgiveness yield no benefit in grade amnesty calculation
Update Request for Subsequent Application Attempts:
Each grade amnesty request is valid only for the application opportunity for which it is
submitted. Subsequent application opportunities require updated grade amnesty requests.
This applies whether or not you complete additional coursework.

Before completing this form, please carefully read the instructions/ information listed below:
1. Reference instructions included in the program Application Preparation Packet (APP) for this form.
2. Return completed form to the Office of Admissions and Records on the Leesburg Campus.
3. All decisions are sent to the student in writing from the Office of Admissions and Records.
4. Amnesty GPA for selection consideration is calculated after program application opportunity deadline to allow receipt and
evaluation of all transfer work. Amnesty “blinds” all coursework from selected start date and older for all institutions attended.
5. Select start date to maximize amnesty GPA calculation and retain maximum number of degree and program required
pre-requisite courses.
6. Submit new request for each application opportunity to the nursing program.
