Deutschlandstipendium an der Hochschule Kaiserslautern

1. Data protection:
Ihre hier angegebenen personenbezogenen Daten werden vertraulich behandelt und aus-
schließlich zur Auswahl geeigneter Bewerbungen und zur Durchführung des Deutschlandstipen-
diums erhoben und verarbeitet. Rechtsgrundlage hierfür ist § 10 des Stipendienprogramm-Ge-
setzes (StipG). Hiernach sind Bewerber*innen für das Stipendienprogramm verpflichtet, die zur
Prüfung der Leistungs- und Eignungsvoraussetzungen erforderlichen Auskünfte zu erteilen und
entsprechende Nachweise vorzulegen. Welche dieser Angaben Sie machen, bleibt Ihnen über-
lassen: Sagen Sie uns, was Sie für das Deutschlandstipendium qualifiziert!
Uns ist bewusst, dass es sich bei den Angaben um teilweise höchst vertrauliche Informationen
handelt, einige der Angaben (z.B. über Krankheiten, Migrationshintergrund) sind auch soge-
nannte besondere Arten personenbezogener Daten im Sinne der Datenschutzgesetze. Ihre Da-
ten werden stets vertraulich behandelt und, gemeinsam mit unserem IT-Dienstleister, mit stets
aktuellen technischen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen geschützt. Soweit Ihre Bewerbung in diesem
Auswahlverfahren keinen Erfolg hat, speichern wir Ihre Daten maximal 12 Monate, um eine er-
neute Bewerbung im nächsten Auswahlverfahren vereinfachen zu können. Ihr Video wird, daten-
schutzkonform, nicht veröffentlicht, sondern ausschließlich dem Auswahlgremium zum direkten
Anschauen im Browser auf Seafile bereitgestellt.
Statistik / Evaluation Anonymisierung
Gemäß § 13 des Stipendienprogramm-Gesetzes sind wir verpflichtet, zur Erstellung einer
Bundesstatistik Stipendiaten-Daten an das Statistische Landessamt zu übermitteln. Dies
erfolgt unter einem Pseudonym, also ohne Mitteilung Ihres Namens.
Kontakt zum Förderer
Ihr Förderer möchte Sie möglicherweise gern kennenlernen, um Sie gegebenenfalls zu
Veranstaltungen einzuladen oder um Ihnen vielleicht ein Praktikum anzubieten. Diese
Kontaktaufnahme ist jedoch nur möglich, wenn Sie der Bekanntgabe Ihrer Daten dem
Förderer gegenüber zustimmen. Dies ist völlig freiwillig.
2. Online application form: apart from the mandatory fields, it is up to you to decide what
information you provide and with what information you present yourself as a candidate
for the scholarship. In the selection process, only information that is enclosed with the
application and, if applicable, supported by appropriate documentation can be consi-
dered in your favor. If the application documents are not written in German or English, an
officially certified translation in German must be enclosed. We recommend that you also
answer the non-binding questions in the online form as completely as possible.

Certificate of higher education entrance qualification: in case of foreign certificates a trans-
lation transferable to the German system and conversion to the German grading system.
For 1st Semester Students: proof of a special qualification that entitles you to study in the
respective course of studies at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern or, if ap-
plicable, proof of an aptitude test according to § 66 HochSchG (German law on high-school
students) Certificate of enrolment. Letter of admission or confirmation of enrolment.
Bachelor diploma (For master students)
For students from the 2nd semester: academic achievements with corresponding ECTS.
If the above-mentioned documents are not provided at the end of the application process,
the applicant may be excluded from the application process.
The following documents can be attached to your application and thus provide a
better image of yourself:
Professional qualification, internships, work experience
Special achievements, awards and prizes
Further acquired qualifications and knowledge (e.g. languages)
University engagement, extra-curricular or extracurricular engagement,
Special personal or family circumstances, e.g. own diseases and disabilities, the care of
their own children, especially as a single parent, or close relative in need of care, working
in the family
Employment during studies, migration background
Note on attachments:
The maximum size of pdf attachments must not exceed 15mb. All attachments must be combi-
ned in one pdf file.

Selection interview procedure
You will receive an invitation via e-mail to the scholarship selection committee, approx. 20-25
People (university management, professors, company representatives, etc.) in a a round of
talks. The attendance is mandatory.
You will be into groups ans asked questions from the selection committee. The round of questi-
ons lasts about 20 minutes.
If you are selected for a scholarship, you will then receive written notification and an invitation to
the award ceremony.
Selection criteria
Seite 2 von 4The University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern awards the scholarships according to the sel-
ection criteria defined by the Scholarship Act and the related ordinance. According to the Scho-
larship Act, performance and talent can be proven as follows:
For study beginners: the average grade of the university entrance qualification with special
consideration of the individual grades relevant for the chosen subject or the special qualification
that entitles the student to study at the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern
In case of students already enrolled in the 2nd semester of study, the final grade of the previous
study course is also determined by the study achievements, especially the achieved ECTS
points, in case of students of a master study course.
Points detailed in the documents that can be attached to your application are also a very im-
portant part.
Further notes
The scholarship amount is 300 Euro/month (3.600 Euro/year), half of which is paid by private
sponsors and the other by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The scho-
larship does not count regarding BAföG.
There are no social security contributions to be awarded the scholarship and the grant does not
have to be repaid. The scholarship can be awarded from the first semester onwards. The deci-
sion on the grant is made in writing. The scholarship is granted for two semesters. Afterwards
the scholarship can be extended upon application. The maximum duration of the scholarship de-
pends on the standard period of study of the respective course of study.
If the duration of study is extended for serious reasons, such as for example, due to a disability,
pregnancy or the care of relatives or the upbringing of a child, the funding period can be exten-
ded upon application.
There is neither a legal claim to the grant nor to the extension of a scholarship.
Declaration of participation:
I am applying for the Germany Scholarship and hereby confirm that the information I have provi-
ded is correct and complete. I assure that I have taken note of the data protection information. In
particular, it has been pointed out to me that I determine the scope of the personal data provided
for the application for the German scholarship.
Furthermore, I declare my agreement that the information I provide in accordance with § 10
StipG personal data provided by the university of Applied Sciences of Kaiserslautern for the pur-
pose of selection for a German scholarship and if applicable, can be processed. I can revoke
this consent at any time. With a revocation of this consent, my data will be deleted immediately
and the submitted documents are destroyed in accordance with data protection regulations. I
take note, that in the event of false statements, the scholarship in whole or in part can be reclai-
med. I am aware that there is no legal claim to the German scholarship. I commit myself to im-
mediately inform the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern (if necessary by stating of
Seite 3 von 4reasons), when I exmatriculate myself, my studies interrupt, discontinue or do not appear or do
not have a university or change of specialization.
Please note: In case of non-granting as well as revocation of consent, the requested scholar-
ship cannot be granted or can no longer be granted. I confirm that I have been informed about
the privacy policy. I agree to the disclosure of my data to the sponsor for a possible contact. I ag-
ree that the University of Applied Sciences of Kaiserslautern may use my surname, first name
and photo for press releases, articles and the like in online, print and broadcast media in
connection with the German scholarship and forward them to the media (such as newspapers).
By sending the online application you agree to the application agreement and the declaration of
participation contained therein. You have the right to object to the entire participation declaration
