All landowners who run livestock on their property, or keep livestock as pets, have a legal obligation to have a Property Identification Code (PIC) registered on their property. PICs are vital during emergency events such as fire or flood as they help our team prioritise and target on-ground assistance to those impacted or in immediate danger. They are also vital in the event of a biosecurity emergency such as an animal disease outbreak as they improve traceability back to specific properties, allowing for a quick and effective response to the emergency. By completing your return accurately it allows our team to help you during emergencies and get back to business faster when disaster happens.
