January / February 2021 ᴥ Tevet ~ Shevat ~ Adar 5781 Member of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism Announcing the COS Gala: February 21, 2021 from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm! COS will host its first virtual gala, an Evening of Entertainment, which you can attend in the comfort of your own home while dining with your Ohev Shalom friends in your own Zoom breakout room! No babysitters needed this year! In the challenging world of COVID-19, we will celebrate COS at an on-line gala with two exciting entertainers: Tamir Goodman, dubbed by Sports Illustrated magazine as the “Jewish Jordan,” will share his inspiring story of his journey as an American Israeli basketball player! Maccabeats will appear in concert for Ohev Shalom! This special event gives us the opportunity to come together as a congregation for a fun and entertaining evening while supporting the successful operation of the synagogue. Please make yourself a part of this special event by purchasing your ticket, becoming a sponsor with your tax-deductible donation, and/or securing an item for our silent auction. You can make your dinner selections and send in your paper or electronic RSVP cards from the invitations that you will receive shortly in the mail and via email. Got A Silent Auction Item You Can Donate? Have questions about the Gala? Please email Brett Spector, VP of Development and Gala Chair at spector.brett@gmail.com. Looking forward to seeing you at this very special event on February 21, 2021!
