For the past thirty years, Hickton Consultants Ltd (trading as Hickton Quality
Control) has built a reputation based on quality, trust and exceptional service to
become one of the industry’s most respected Quality Site Inspection consultancies
in the UK.
Founded by Tony Hickton in 1992 in the rural village of
Elsecar, South Yorkshire, the business has continued
to successfully evolve under the current leadership of
Managing Director Tony Mobbs, to provide a wide range of
Quality Site Inspection services (Clerks of Works) for a vast
range of clients in diverse industry sectors.
Clients range from Architect practices, Project Management
companies, Developers, Contractors and end user clients
such as Universities, Colleges, NHS Trusts, Local Authorities,
Housing Associations, Parliament, and Hotel chains across
the whole of the UK – who all require a project to be built to

+ BRCS (Building Control) Ltd:
Building Control Services
For the last twenty-four years, BRCS (Building Control) Ltd has championed
compliance in construction. Founded in 1996, in Chelmsford, Essex, they were one
of the first three Approved Inspectors permitted to undertake the Building Control
role on commercial projects.
In 2017, in order to offer compliance as well as quality
control, BRCS (Building Control) Ltd became part of Hickton
Holdings Ltd, which created a succession plan for well
known and respected directors in the business. The head
office relocated from Chelmsford to Elsecar but the office
in Chelmsford has been retained to successfully service the
South and London.
Over the years, BRCS (Building Control) Ltd has grown in
strength and they successfully operate across all sectors
within the construction industry. They are governed by the
Construction Industry Council Approved Inspector
Register (CICAIR) who are the designated body
responsible for registering all Approved Inspectors.
The head office is located in Elsecar, Barnsley.

Founded in Portishead, in 2013, Cook Brown Building Control is an Approved
Inspector licenced by CICAIR, to provide Building Control Service across England
and Wales.
The primary business of an Approved Inspector is to carry
out their statutory duties in connection with applications
submitted under the Building Regulations 2010 to assess
compliance. Work comes from right across England and
Wales but dealt with locally from our various office locations
which are Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, London, Taunton and
Tewkesbury.
The business has a wide variety of clients and deals with a
broad range of projects. The business was established in
2013 and started trading on 1st January 2014.

Morgan Lambert was founded in 1997 and is one of social housings largest and
most respected gas and electrical safety management consultants.
Originally specialising purely in gas safety management,
Morgan Lambert diversified into the electrical safety market
in 2014, under the direction of co-owners, Simon Millington
and Mick Lord. This multi skilled offering helped the
business to enhance existing client relationships whilst
achieving sustainable growth.
Offering a variety of services to their Social Housing client
base, Morgan Lambert’s main income stream is the delivery
of site based inspections of completed gas or electrical
works to provide a truly independent and professional
opinion on the quality of works being produced.
Morgan Lambert is based in Selby near York, and has 51

Gas Auditing and Consultancy
Qualitas Compliance was formed in 2012 in response to a growing demand from
private sector gas contractors for gas auditing and consultancy work throughout
the UK.
Originally based at Warrington, the company now operates
remotely owing to the agile working facilities available to
the business.
Qualitas Compliance have worked with some of the gas
industries most recognised brands including Vaillant Group,
Baxi and British Gas.
