Thebest of Air France-KLM in Africa Always committed to providing the best, Air France-KLM offers its customers travelling to Africa tailor-made service and special attention on board as well as at the airport. That is why Air France is renewing all its cabins on its Airbus A330s in 2019. New seats, a new cabin interior and new services will all enhance your trip. With its new cabins, Air France intends to offer a new experience on board its Airbus A330s, with 36 seats in Business, 21 seats in Premium Economy and 167 seats in Economy. 15 aircraft will be completely redesigned by 2020 thanks to an investment of 140 million euros. In 2019, these new cabins are available on flights to Niamey, Cotonou, Lagos, Accra and Ouagadougou. Air France offers a larger baggage allowance than on the rest of the long-haul network, to most African destinations: • La Première: 3 bags each weighing up to 32 kg; • Business: 2 bags each weighing up to 32 kg; • Premium Economy: 2 bags each weighing up to 23 kg; • Economy: 2 bags each weighing up to 23 kg. At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, a team of experts from the African continent is present on all flights to and from Africa, where they provide commercial assistance to passengers, taking into account the geopolitical, commercial, regulatory and cultural characteristics of each country. To make passenger handling easier, Air France has multicultural teams familiar with the specific expectations of its international customers. On a daily basis, they welcome close to 5,000 passengers, helping them with check-in and with their connections between flights.More than 2,500 cabin crew, belonging to Air France’s Africa and Middle East Division, are trained in international standards and the specific expectations of customers on African routes. Since 2017, Air France has been offering at least 7 French and English-language African films. On Air France Play, customers have access to African magazines and newspapers as well as many African music albums. In Business class, examples of African gastronomic produce such as chili or ginger juice are available to accompany the customer’s meal. In the Economy cabin, Air France offers dishes tailored to the preferences of African travellers on certain routes* such as mafé chicken stew and fish with Nyembwé sauce. In addition, to adapt to the early- morning arrival times of flights arriving from Africa, a new breakfast service is available in all travel classes on Air France flights. * Except on flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Johannesburg (South Africa).

48 DESTINATIONS IN AFRICA For the 2019 summer season, Air France-KLM is offering 48 destinations in Africa and 548 weekly flights to Africa. In addition, since March 25, 2018, Air France has been part of the joint venture agreement already in existence since 1995 between KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Kenya Airways - a SkyTeam member -, considerably strengthening the Air France-KLM group’s offer in East Africa. Air France, KLM and Kenya Airways customers can book code-shared flights operated by one of the three airlines on the Paris-Nairobi to Amsterdam- Nairobi and return routes. Travellers benefit from 24 weekly flights between the Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Amsterdam-Schiphol and Nairobi hubs. In addition, thanks to its joint venture partnership with Kenya Airways, the group offers more flights between Europe and Africa and is expanding its network with 26 destinations: • Addis-Ababa (Ethiopia), • Bangui (Central African Republic), • Blantyre (Malawi), • Bujumbura (Burundi), • Dar Es Salaam (Tanzania), • Djibouti (Republic of Djibouti), • Dzaoudzi (Mayotte), • Entebbe (Uganda), • Harare (Zimbabwe), • Juba (South Sudan), • Khartoum (Sudan), • Kigali (Rwanda), • Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), • Kisumu (Kenya), • Lilongwe (Malawi), • Livingstone (Zambia), • Lubumbashi (Democratic Republic of Congo), • Lusaka (Zambia), • Maputo (Mozambique), • Mombasa (Kenya), • Moroni (Comoros), • Nampula (Mozambique), • Ndola (Zambia), • Seychelles (Seychelles), • Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), • Zanzibar (Tanzania). Air France-KLM also has a code-share agreement with the South-African airline kulkula.com, offering four other destinations in South Africa via Johannesburg or Cape Town: • Durban, • East London, • George, • Lanseria. Air France is also the strategic partner of Air Côte d’Ivoire. In 2012, Air France supported the creation of this company, alongside the Government of the Côte d’Ivoire, and currently holds a 11.1% stake in its capital. Air Côte d’Ivoire’s fleet currently comprises six Airbus A319/A320s for which Air France provides industrial maintenance, and four Bombardier Q400s, allowing it to serve 24 domestic destinations in Western and Central Africa from its Abidjan hub.
Business, new cabinsand exceptionalservice In 2019, Air France serves 34 destinations in Africa from Paris with 277 weekly frequencies. AT THE AIRPORT Throughout the world, customers travelling in Business class have access to more than 600 lounges, including close to 40 Air France lounges, offering a wide range of services in a quiet and cozy atmosphere, away from the hustle and bustle of the airport. Passengers benefit from a simplified and priority route through the airport with SkyPriority. In 2018, Air France inaugurated its 3,200 sq.m. Business lounge in Terminal 2E, Hall L at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, created in collaboration with designer Mathieu Lehanneur. This lounge has one of the largest well-being areas ever offered by Air France, with private saunas, Clarins treatment rooms, a dining area and a detox bar. Theheightof comfort Completely redesigned, the new Business cabin provides optimum comfort and elegance. The new Business seat, adapted to the dimensions of the Airbus A330, guarantees you unparalleled comfort. It can be transformed into a fully flat seat bed 2 metres long and 57.1 cm wide to cross time zones without feeling tired. Alone or with a travelling companion, the new configuration adapts to the desires of our customers. They enjoy improved conviviality and a moment of sharing or extra privacy thanks to a sliding screen. With the all-new 18-inch HD touchscreen, customers can enjoy more than 1,400 hours of entertainment. Its responsive interface is accompanied by a new, more ergonomic remote control. The toilets, inspired by the world of cosmetics, and the self-service bar in blue and champagne colours have also been redesigned with well-being and aesthetics as the watchwords.
Michelin-starred dining in thesky With sublime flavours and Michelin-starred menus, Air France offers exceptional cuisine in the Business cabin. Anne-Sophie Pic, Arnaud Lallement, Guy Martin and Michel Roth are just a few of the big names in French haute cuisine who take it in turn to delight customers. Premium Economy, enhanced comfortand services Air France presents its new Premium Economy cabin, where relaxation and pleasure prevail. Comfort is a priority in the Airbus A330 with additional space: a 130° seat recline in a fixed shell, one of the widest seats on the market with 48.5 cm, a 102-cm seat pitch, lumbar support adapted to different body shapes, additional storage space, a wider footrest and a 13.3 inch HD screen. The softer seats and wider leather armrests have also been redesigned. On board all its long-haul aircraft, Air France ensures its customers enjoy optimum relaxation with a red feather pillow and a deep blue duvet. A comfort kit renewed every 6 months is also available. As well as enjoying the relaxation and gourmet delights, customers benefit from Wi-Fi on board, a plug and two individual USB ports as well as a wide selection of entertainment.
Economy, optimum comfort for everyone Air France brings colour and additional services. On board its redesigned Airbus A330s, the Economy seat is more comfortable, with more space between the armrests, reinforced ergonomic foam and a 118° seat recline, 79 cm legroom, a wider tray table and a larger, state-of-the-art 11.7-inch 16/9 HD touch screen. For an even more comfortable travel experience, a new design and new accessories are being introduced. A deep blue monochrome fabric signed with the accent, symbol of the Air France brand adorns the new cushions and headrests. To accompany the most beautiful dreams, a new blanket in a bright red, the company’s iconic colour, and collectible night masks, inspired by Air France destinations, are also available. The Economy seat has an electric socket and USB port and customers can stay connected with the Wi-Fi available on board. Finally, to discover a wide range of entertainment, an audio headset is available on the seat. On long-haul flights, Air France offers a revised catering offer. As an aperitif, champagne, wine and many other drinks, accompanied by savoury snacks, are served to all passengers. A choice between two hot dishes is then offered, accompanied by a starter and a dessert. This full meal is accompanied by coffee, tea and liqueurs, offered by the cabin crew. A second hot snack is available on flights lasting over 8 and a half hours.
For the 2019 summer season, on departure from Amsterdam-Schiphol, KLM operates 69 weekly frequencies to 11 destinations in Africa. World Business Class: privacy, comfort and personal attention Available on the Boeing 747’s, 777’s, 787’s and the Airbus A330 since the end of 2018, World Business Class provides passengers with a new concept of comfort. AT THE AIRPORT With dedicated check-in desks, priority boarding and disembarkation, access to the KLM Crown lounges and a more generous baggage allowance, passengers travelling in World Business Class and/or Elite and Elite Plus customers benefit from a number of exclusive services. KLM has two modern Crown Lounges at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, one in the Schengen area as well as an Intercontinental Crown Lounge. The Crown lounge outside the KLM Schengen area is currently being renovated. In spring 2019, the new lounge area will span 6,300 sq.m2 in total with some 1,450 seats.
ON BOARD Together with the Dutch top designer Hella Jongerius, KLM has introduced a whole new atmosphere in World Business Class. The feeling of being at home was the designer’s aim. In World Business Class, passengers enjoy the comforts of a full-flat seat bed that is more than 2 metres long and an individual 17-inch (43 cm) screen with up to 200 films and 150 TV programmes. On board the new Boeing 787s, customers travelling in World Business Class stay connected with Wi-Fi on board. Finally, dishes co-created with Michelin-starred chefs and many other international chefs make the flight a special gourmet experience.
Economy Comfort, for even more comfort KLM offers you extra comfortable seats with its Economy Comfort product on European and Intercontinental flights. You can enjoy seats with up to 10 cm more legroom and up to double the normal recline.
Economy Class, relaxation and pleasure for all KLM Economy Class on long-haul flights combines comfort and relaxation. Passengers benefit from optimal travel conditions with excellent value for money. Customers enjoy the comforts of an ergonomic seat, an individual screen and a wide selection of programmes as well as the expertise of a multilingual cabin crew. A main meal, a light meal and snacks* are also provided. * On flights lasting more than 7 hours.
SkyPriority - exclusive advantages from check-in to baggage delivery At SkyTeam level, SkyPriority delivers the most exclusive benefits offered by the Alliance’s 19 member airlines to ensure the smoothest possible experience for passengers travelling in La Première, Business, and Premium Economy class as well as SkyTeam Elite Plus members. Easily recognizable, the “SkyPriority” logo appears on boarding passes and on all signage at airports. The service offers eligible passengers priority check-in, faster and privileged access to security controls as well as customs clearance and priority boarding free of charge. SkyTeam is the first airline alliance to offer its Premium passengers a set of priority ground services. Today, this service is available at over 1,150 airports worldwide. SkyTeam Go Africa The SkyTeam alliance offers a Go Africa pass enabling customers to save money while enjoying greater flexibility on flights operated by one of the 19 SkyTeam member airlines, as part of an intercontinental round trip to Africa or a Go round the World ticket. Customers who have purchased a Go Africa pass can use between 3 and 16 flight coupons. Fares are calculated on the basis of the number of miles flown without stop-overs, offering reductions of up to 75% on classic fares depending on the itinerary. Passengers benefit from fully flexible travel dates. They can begin and end their trip in the country of their choice, no minimum duration of stay is required and the maximum duration corresponds to the intercontinental ticket’s expiry date. Over 1,150 destinations with SkyTeam The SkyTeam airline alliance now has 19 members around the world. This alliance offers customers comprehensive services for transporting passengers and cargo. Member airlines have created alliances that allow them to develop their services and increase their opportunities for growth in all markets. When they travel with one of the 19 SkyTeam member airlines, customers benefit from unique services that make it easier to travel on flights from different airlines. They can earn miles on all airlines and have access to over 750 lounges worldwide. In total, SkyTeam’s 19 member airlines serve more than 1,150 destinations in 175 countries.
Flying Blue, a leading loyalty programme in Europe Flying Blue, the Air France-KLM group’s frequent flyer programme with 15 million members, groups together more than 135 partners. The more frequently its members travel, the more their loyalty is rewarded. With the Flying Blue card, customers can access a whole raft of services specially designed to make travelling more enjoyable. On www.airfrance.com and www.klm.com, members are free to consult their account, directly order their reward tickets or request mile updates. On the www.flyingblue.com website, customers have access to a clear presentation of Flying Blue with a detailed description of the benefits that come with the different Ivory, Silver, Gold and Platinum statuses, together with videos and tutorials. Members can also consult the many ways to earn and spend their miles as well as an exhaustive list of all the programme’s partner offers in “Flying Blue Store”. Flying Blue Petroleum Flying Blue Petroleum is the loyalty programme for oil and gas industry professionals. The programme gives its 83,000 members access to a network of more than 100 oil and gas destinations as well as a range of exclusive benefits that come with being a member of a private club. Since June 2016, Flying Blue Petroleum programme members connecting between two flights operated by Air France or KLM can access the lounges in halls K, L or M at terminal 2E at Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport and the Crown lounge at Amsterdam-Schiphol. Flying Blue Club Africa Flying Blue Club Africa is a community site for Flying Blue members working with or on the African continent, and who wish to exchange information with their peers or obtain advice and contacts related to their business in Africa.
From Europe, Transavia will serve 14 destinations and 202 weekly flights in Africa in 2019. Transavia: comfort, a caring attitude and hospitality on board If you’re going on vacation or on business, with or without baggage, Transavia offers all its passengers a tailor-made trip with its three fares: Basic, Plus and Max. On board, all customers have reclining seats as well as a wide selection of snacks and beverages. Since 2016, Transavia has been voted «Best European Low- Cost Airline» by Flight Report for two years running. BASIC The Basic fare is for passengers who choose to travel light at the lowest fare. This fare allows customers to carry a bag weighing no more than 10 kg in the cabin. PLUS The Plus fare is for customers who require additional options. This fare allows you to earn Flying Blue Miles. This fare includes a 10 kg cabin bag and a 20 kg bag in the hold and will also earn you Flying Blue Miles: 250 Award Miles one way and 500 Award Miles for a round trip. In addition, customers enjoy unlimited change of booking free of charge up to 14 days before departure.
MAX The Max fare is for passengers who want to travel with total peace of mind, earn more Flying Blue Miles, choose their seats or enjoy a more generous baggage allowance. This fare includes a 10 kg cabin bag and accessory and 30 kg of baggage in the hold. Customers earn Flying Blue Miles: 500 Award Miles one way and 1,000 Award Miles for a round trip. When choosing the Max fare, customers can choose from all available seats, enjoy priority boarding with the Fast Track lane and also enjoy unlimited change of booking at no extra charge up to 2 hours before departure. EARN FLYING BLUE AWARD MILES WITH TRANSAVIA For every one-way ticket, Transavia customers earn 250 Award Miles (500 Award Miles for a return trip) by choosing the Plus fare and 500 Award Miles for the Max fare (1,000 Award Miles for a round trip).
