Manging Director, Film- und Medienstiftung NRW Petra Müller studied German language and literature, art history and ethnology at the University of Cologne. She started her career in a management consultancy for strategic marketing in Cologne before moving to the Adolf Grimme Institute in Marl as a research associate. At the Grimme Institute, she was project manager, later director of the Cologne Conference film and television festival, and then managing partner of HMR International - Gesellschaft für Medienberatung. As managing director of Medienboard-Berlin-Brandenburg GmbH, Müller moved to Berlin and Potsdam-Babelsberg in early 2004.
