June 11, 2021 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY Here is the earth, here is the sky, here are my friends and here am I. Thank you to the oceans, animals and plants. Thank you to the sun, moon and rain. Thank you to the Bindal and Wulgurukaba people whose land we play and learn on all day. I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians and their Elder’s past, present and emerging. A Message from the Director of School Campus Dear Shalom Family It was great to see our whole school community celebrating Reconciliation Week. The high school hosted the assembly on MABO day, and the Engagement Unit visited Mungalla Station. The primary school ended the week by inviting families to join in a full day of celebrations, including various cultural activities, sausage sizzle and an assembly. It was terrific to finally invite families back into the school to share in our celebrations since COVID. A big thank you to the staff for their time and hard work in making the week such a success. This week we farewell Donna Mincham, one of the high school teachers who joined us this year. Thank you, Donna, for the care and concern you gave each student and for sharing your creative gifts with us all.
