If you dream of a wedding molded around your personality, you will love Cederkloof, set amongst orange orchards and fynbos covered mountains of the Olifants Valley. We have several different outdoor ceremony areas, from a beautiful stretch of lawn beside the swimming pool to a hexagon stone platform in the mountains or a deck over a river under indigenous willows and wild olives. The Opstal venue building is a magnificent indoor-outdoor space for your reception or party. Relaxed, unfussy and all about friends; Cederkloof can host a wedding or gathering from 10 to 120 people with onsite accommodation in cottages or luxury tents for 30-40 guest. The Citrusdal area offers plenty of additional accommodation and lots of activities to keep your guests busy before and after the big event. to start We are happy for you to play in our space and add your personal touches but the basic wedding set-up consists of: • Exclusive use of Cederkloof Botanical Retreat (weekends) 4pm on the Friday, until 10am on the Sunday after the wedding. Sun to Thurs off-holiday season (one night) weddings will have exclusivity from 2pm on the day of the wedding until 10am the following day, • Assistance with links to trusted service providers in the area, • The set-up of a ceremony space on the lawn or chosen outdoor area, • Interesting, healthy and contemporary food and experienced caterors, • Venue hire includes use of tables, chairs, glassware, cutlery and crockery, • A great bride’s cottage at No.4 (plenty of room for getting ready), • Luxury rustic accommodation for your family and friends, • Large indigenous fynbos gardens, mountains, forest and river areas for photos or a stroll. weekend festivities We are happy for you to play in our space and add your personal touches but the basic wedding set-up consists of: Accommodation 2 nights (28 Adults) - R35 400 6 Single Cottages (sleeps 2) with private jacuzzis 3 Double Cottages (sleeps 4) with private jacuzzis 4 Luxury bell tents also available for an additional R750 per night Please note there is a 2-night minimum stay on weekend functions. Additional children or adults at R150 per night. Extra Children / Adults accommodated on single mattresses in lounge of cottages or on sleeper couches in double units – Max 10 extra beds available. what’s on the menu Whether it is preparing food for the wedding celebration or having a pizza evening the night before, Cederkloof has a range of state the art cooking facilities, so let your imagination go. The caterer of your choice or one of our highly recommended and experienced local caterers can use any of the following facilities for preparing your occasion: • Bellayamu, a new 15th century masonry bread oven perfect for baked goods, slow roasts, pizzas or whatever your imagination or caterer desires, • the Opstal also has a newly remodeled commercial grade kitchen, • large fireplaces at the seating areas lends itself to inventive and festive braais. some more information Not included in our pricing: Food and Beverages Ceremony at hexagon - an additional R2 000 Staff - babysitters, cleaners, waiters and bar staff Decorations/ flowers (preferred local florist Magriet Tel 083 491 8042) Coordination of event (other than the liaison we provide between the venue and the bridal party) Tent (preferred supplier: Wolfkop/Werner 083 775 0144) Sound equipment, DJ or lighting Costs for extra bed accommodation (R150 per mattress or sleeper couch) There is a R2000 security breakage deposit that will be charged and repaid per events contract Please Note: Rates are subject to change without prior notification, inclusive of VAT @ 15% and quoted in SA Rand. Outside caterer only allowed with permission. Babysitters available at an additional cost – kindly book in advance. Cederkloof does not have a liquor license and therefor the bar should be run as an open bar or donation bar. There is no corkage charge. Entire resort must be booked for a wedding to ensure exclusive access to facilities and to ensure no noise interference. There is a 2am kerfew for music and dancing. Bridal suite - Huisie 4 Huisie 4 is our bridal suit and can sleep 4 people with plenty of space to get ready for the whole bridal party. The cottage is private and newly remodeled with views from every room , inside fire place and luxurious baths and showers. Luxury Bell Tents We have created a paradise under the indigenous forest next to a flowing stream, beautiful roomy (5m across) bell tents furnished with our comfortable thick matrasses, luxury bedding. The outdoor showers have warm water and the birds are welcoming and intoxicating. Additional Amenities wake up under a canopy with birds song each tent has a small kitchen with fridge and 2 plate stove close to the swimming pool and amenities
Venue Payment Schedule In order to confirm the wedding date you will be required to pay a 50% accommodation deposit to secure the dates. 1 month prior to the wedding, you will be required to pay the following: - Full venue hire fee. - R2 000 refundable Security/Damages deposit (see refund details below) 7 days prior to the guests’ arrival you will be required to settle the balance of all accommodation. Security and Damages Deposit The damages deposit will be paid back within 14 working days post the wedding, accounting for the agreed damage to property or glassware, cutlery & crockery was incurred, and that all tabs have been settled; The security/damages deposit will be refunded into your bank account via EFT. Should there be damages incurred or outstanding tabs; these amounts will be deducted from the R2000 and only the difference will be paid. Cancellation Fees A full refund of the accommodation deposit will be paid when: - Changes in the date was made 3 months in advance. - Cancellation of the booking 6 months in advance Cancellations 3 to 6 months before confirmed wedding date: 50% of your accommodation fees paid so far will be retained as a cancellation fee. Less than 3 months before confirmed wedding date: Your complete venue hire fee and all accommodation fees paid so far will be retained as a cancellation fee.
