TOUR INCLUSIONS Complimentary chauffeur driven transfers. Victorian passengers from Greater Melbourne, Bendigo, Torquay, Ballarat, Geelong, the Bellarine and Mornington Peninsulas, Phillip Island and selected areas of Gippsland will be picked up and returned home in a private chauffeured vehicle by one of our professional drivers. Luxury Touring Coaches. Our full size 3 axle luxury coaches have only 32-36 passenger seats allowing you even more personal space and extra leg room. Our coaches are fitted with comfortable reclining seats with aisle arm rests, foot rests, seat belts, panoramic windows with blinds, refrigerator for passenger use, Climate control air conditioning & Road Cam monitors which display the road ahead in real time. DAY 1 Friday 16th July, 2021 MELBOURNE TO TOWNSVILLE With pickup from your home, we transfer to Melbourne Airport to join our flight to Townsville. We will be met by our coach crew and taken to our accommodation for the next 5 nights. The Ville-Casino is hotel accommodation on the Marina, offering views of the Coral Sea and Magnetic Island. It is less than 700 metres from the beachfront along the Strand. Unpack and relax before joining the group for our first dinner. Lunch at own arrangements and cost / Refreshments on flight OVERNIGHT: The Ville-Casino, TOWNSVILLE DAY 2 Saturday 17th July, 2021 LOCAL HISTORY TOUR GUIDE — BOTANIC GARDENS Townsville is home to Australia’s largest defense base, so this morning we uncover the secrets of Townsville’s fascinating military history with a guided tour led by a former Australian Army soldier. We visit Kissing Point Fort, Black Hawk Memorial and Lavarack Barracks, then explore the exhibitions at the Military Museum. After a great morning, we enjoy lunch and a visit to the Townsville Palmetum Gardens. We will stroll around some of the 25 hectares of land viewing the rain forest area which has trees and plants unique to the rain forest, and an area that has various species of Cacti and Succulents. There are signs explaining the different bird species and plenty of seats to have a rest and if you are lucky you may see wild wallabies. We return to our accommodation, with a free afternoon to relax and enjoy the beautiful pool and surrounds at The Ville-Casino. OVERNIGHT: The Ville-Casino, TOWNSVILLE
DAY 3 Sunday 18th July, 2021 INGHAM Today we take a drive north of Townsville making our first stop at the iconic Frosty Mango for morning tea. A local icon in North Queensland. Continuing through to Ingham known as “little Italy”, we take a visit to the local Ingham Cemetery. The strong Mediterranean influences of the area give a magnificent display of tile mausoleums - amazing! We stop in the main street of Ingham for a lunch break before heading up to the country’s tallest single-drop waterfall – Wallaman Falls. The main drop is 268 metres, with a pool at the bottom of 20 metres deep. Enjoy the beautiful drive up to the falls driving through the Girringun National Park, which is one of the Wet Tropics World Heritage areas. Lunch at own expense and arrangement OVERNIGHT: The Ville-Casino, TOWNSVILLE DAY 4 Monday 19th July, 2021 REEF HQ AQUARIUM, QLD MUSEUM, BILLABONG SANCTUARY After a leisurely breakfast, we spend our day visiting some local Townsville attractions. Enjoy the Billabong Sanctuary, where the Rangers are passionate about their amazing native wildlife, and they want to share that passion with you. Feed the free-ranging kangaroos and ducks, cuddle a koala, tickle a wombat or smile at a crocodile. We will also visit the Queensland Museum, allowing you to wander through the museum which shows the natural and cultural heritage of North Queensland. DAY 5 Tuesday 20th July, 2021 MAGNETIC ISLAND Magnetic Island is only 8 kilometres offshore from the city of Townsville. This mountainous island has effectively become a suburb of Townsville, with over 2000 permanent residents. It averages over 320 days of sunshine each year! More than half of the Island is National park. We catch the local ferry across to Magnetic Island this morning, where we are met by a local guide who will take us on a bus tour of Magnetic Island, showing us some of “Maggie Islands” highlights. View beautiful pristine beaches, After a great day, we return on the ferry back to the mainland of Townsville and our accommodation. OVERNIGHT: The Ville-Casino, TOWNSVILLE DAY 6 Wednesday 21st July, 2021 CHARTERS TOWERS Today we drive to Charters Towers. There we will learn all about the last quarter of the 19th century when the township boomed as the rich gold deposits under the city were developed. Our local guide will show us the highlights of Charters Towers. A stop in town for lunch, followed with a visit to the Venus Gold Battery, where we learn about the working life of the battery, then to The Miners Cottage, where you can try your hand with a bit of gold panning. DAY 7 Thursday 22nd July, 2021 TEXAS LONGHORN WAGON TOUR This morning we head out of town to Leahton Park to learn about the largest herd of full blood Texas Longhorn cattle in Australia. The 1,100 acre property is family owned by Michael & Linda, allowing us to enjoy learning about the cattle first hand. They opened in 2009, operating the award winning Texas Longhorn Wagon Tour & Safaris. Take a horse drawn wagon ride and a trip back in time - back to the old west, to the era of the legendary Texas Longhorns! These historical cattle are direct descendants of the millions of Texas Longhorns that walked in the great trail herds from Texas in the late 1800's. Enjoy a camp oven cooked damper and billy tea served from the genuine cowboy chuck wagon before taking an informative tour of the custom saddle shop. We will learn some of the history of this iconic and magnificent breed of cattle whilst enjoying the yarns with our hosts. Also at Leahton Park we will get to see Water Buffalo, American Bison, African Watusi and Scottish Highland cattle. A unique and memorable Australian outback experience where the Aussie Bush meets the Old West! After a great day out, we can enjoy some free time to stroll around the main street. OVERNIGHT: Cattleman’s Rest Motor Inn, CHARTERS TOWERS DAY 8 Friday 23rd July, 2021 CHARTERS TOWERS TO MELBOURNE After an early breakfast, we head to the Townsville Airport for our flight home to Melbourne via Brisbane. As always our chauffeurs await our arrival in Melbourne for the transfer to your home. Lunch at own arrangements and cost / Refreshments on flight

CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL These terms and conditions form the basis of the contract between You and O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours (O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours “We”, “Us”, or ”Our” contract). It is important that You read these terms and conditions carefully and that you understand your rights and obligations. By agreeing to participate in a tour arranged by Us, You are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions in full. O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours has a passenger code of conduct. O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours representatives/ crew or any associated carrier, reserves the right at its discretion to exclude from a tour or to terminate the travel arrangements of any person during the course of the tour without refund, of anyone who: Presents on the day of the tour departure as ill or unwell in any way, including but not limited to: cough, runny nose, sneezing, vomiting or temperature above 37.5 deg C Resides in an Australian suburb, which is the subject of a lockdown order by Your state government, Your request to book on one of Our tours may be denied Is incapable of caring for themselves without a minder/carer Is unable to cope with the requirements of the tour or who may need or require services or facilities that are not available Fails to comply with the reasonable instructions of O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours crew Engages in undesirable behaviour or interferes with the enjoyment of other passengers Is a hazard to themselves or other passengers and/or is likely to become objectionable to other passengers, O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours staff and or third party suppliers Anyone so excluded will be required to disembark at a safe public location, transport from which will be wholly their responsibility. However, if and where possible, O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours staff may assist in obtaining transport. You agree that O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours is released from all liability for You and You agree not to hold O’Shannessy’s Quality Tours responsible for termination of Your travel arrangements.
