UNIVERSITY ACHIEVEMENTS & UPDATES KHALIFA UNIVERSITY TOP IN UAE IN 2021 TIMES HIGHER EDUCATION ARAB UNIVERSITIES RANKING NEW RANKING INDICATES Khalifa University has announced that it is top-ranked in the EMPHASIS ON LOCALLY AND UAE and has remained among the top 10 out of 125 Arab GLOBALLY-RELEVANT RESEARCH, institutions in the 2021 Times Higher Education (THE) Arab WORLD CLASS FACULTY EXPERTS Universities Ranking that was announced at the THE Arab AND QUALITY EDUCATION Universities Forum . Khalifa University ranked sixth overall in the THE list that assessed universities from 14 Arab countries. The ranking is THE’s most comprehensive assessment of higher education in the Arab region to date. Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi said: “Our ranking in the latest 2022 Times Higher Education Arab Universities Rankings once again establishes the emphasis we place on locally and globally-relevant research, world class faculty experts and our quality of education. We believe this ranking will encourage us further to seek even greater heights in the future.” Dr. Arif was also one of the invited speakers at the Forum who talked about the role of academic institutions in achieving the global mission of greater sustainability. STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS MORE THAN 100 Khalifa University’s Career and Alumni Department held the first Online Career Boot Camp which took place on KU STUDENTS AND the 22nd, 23rd & 24th of June. The purpose of the event GRADUATES ATTEND is to equip KU potential graduates and students with the THE UNIVERSITY’S FIRST necessary employability skills through different sessions ONLINE CAREER BOOT offered by senior business professionals from local and international firms and certified career coaches in order to CAMP support their transition from university to their dream job and to prepare a capable generation who can contribute and create the difference in the UAE’s knowledge economy. A total of five employers from international and public firms in addition to six speakers from Khalifa University conducted exciting sessions about different topics as follows: 1. Network for success offered by LinkedIn 2. Entrepreneurship and Freelancing offered by Injaz UAE 3. National self-employment platform for freelancers and Job Market Demand offered by MOHRE 4. Personal branding Offered by Schneider Electric Different sessions offered by KU staff such as: 1. Interviewing skills 2. Professional development opportunities through Coursera 3. Advantages of being on Graduway (Alumni platform) Around 113 students and graduates attended the Online Career Boot Camp and their overall satisfaction rate reached 97% from the conducted sessions. All students were granted community service hours and an opportunity to participate (Optionally) in an exciting competition called Connect In, the purpose of the competition is to encourage the students to create an attractive LinkedIn profile and utilize the power of a professional network to reach their dream job.
