Platinum Invitation From 4 to 8 June 2018, the German Association of Actuaries (DAV) in conjunction with the International Actuarial Association (IAA) will host the 31st International Congress of Actuaries (ICA) in Berlin. This event is a global summit for the exchange of actuarial knowledge and is aimed at actuaries, scientists, practitioners and academics from all over the world who share an interest in actuarial topics in insurance and finance. The congress program will include daily plenary sessions by eminent keynote speakers and panelists, 12 limited attendance experiences, and a congress program including over 30 invited speaker sessions and a wide variety of sessions. Over 280 contributed talks will be presented from Monday to Friday in up to 12 parallel lecture halls. Due to the great success of our Call for Papers, with more than 570 submitted abstracts, the Scientific Committee with the valuable support of volunteering experts has been able to create an excellent and diverse congress program with contributions from more than 40 countries. We sincerely thank everyone who submitted an abstract and who supported the preparation of the congress program. We are convinced that the ICA 2018 will be an outstanding event for the whole profession.
