Special Events Youth Carnival Night Youth Kick off Youth Week with a fun-filled carnival night. We will have big toys, carnival games, food, laser tag in the forest, and prizes! Carnival $5 includes one hot dog, drink and an entry into our prize draw which takes place at 8:45pm. The regatta will feature “boats” that you make from scratch from an approved list of recyclable materials. The boats must be able to float. The whistle blows and they are off! Prizes for many different categories. In addition, there will be a chance to try all kinds of “boats”. A kayak obstacle course for kids, Dragon Boat, Outrigger and paddle boards. We will also have land activities for families. Bouncers, clowns, loonie dig and food. Shuttles will be provided from the Community Centre. CHILDREN Aged 5+ Sprockids This is a popular volunteer lead program designed for children keen to mountain bike for 60-90 minutes in a group setting on trails. Children must be able to ride a pedal bike (no training wheels). The program focuses on bike handling, stunts, trail riding skills and safety. There are no toilets on the trail, and children have to be independent managing this. Please contact us if you’d like to consider volunteering at 250-923-7911.
