WELCOME
From 3rd to 6th June Treignac and the Vézère river will welcome the 2022 ICF Wildwater Canoeing
World Championship.
It will be an opportunity for the general public to (re)discover this spectacular site and to come back
there 60 years after the first ICF Wildwater Canoeing World Championships in 1959. What a celebration
for such an anniversary!
The city of Treignac has already proved its capacity to host events: each year one national event
(competition or leasure) takes place on the Pentecost weekend.
Feel free to join us to share together strong emotions and nice sensations through exciting adventure!
The Organising Committee
PRESIDENT’S WORDS
For many years, the French Canoe Federation gained a lot of skills in hosting international events of
great quality. The history began here in 1959 with the first World Championships of the discipline.
Then, it never ends to confirm the trust the international governing bodies of canoeing put in the
Treignac Organising Committee and in the French Canoe Federation.
With the experience of organising the Wildwater World Championship in 2000, the World Cup in
2019 and the World Cup in 2021, the Treignac organising committee seems to be on track to
organise a magnificent World Championship in 2022.
It is with the same enthusiasm and the same passion that French Canoe Federation and Treignac will
work together in order to lead a new exciting project.
We hope to see you in Treignac along the river!

GENERAL INFORMATION FOR APRIL’S TRAINING WEEK
Just before the World Championship, the Treignac local committee (LOC) organize a national classic
race on monday 18 April 2022. The World’s HOC get a deal with LOC to welcome you on training week
and classic race.

You could consult previonnal schedule in the following table (some changes could happen according
to special power needs or weather deseases):
Green slots are free to paddle
Orange Slots are period for water increase or decrease (be carefull if paddling on those slots)
Red slots, there is not enough water to paddle
Yellow Slots, course are closed for local organization ; please respect carrefully

For the registration for the national classic race on Monday 18th April, the organizing committee
propose to use the ICF’s online entries system (SDP) :

INSURANCE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Article RG 43 - Participation of foreign competitors not licensed by the FFCK A foreign athlete not
licensed by the FFCK may participate as a guest in all national competitions, subject to acceptance by
the organiser and the president of the National Activity Commission. His participation in the
competition is in the invited category and his result is not taken into account in the national ranking.
The organisers must systematically inform the competitor of his insurance obligations and issue him
with a "one-day competition option" Federal Card for each day of competition. At the time of
registration, the competitor must present proof of identity, a certificate of absence of contraindication

to the practice of the sport or discipline concerned in competition dating from less than one year and

attest that his/her level of practice corresponds to the requirements of the competition.

Due to severe hydrological conditions and energy issues around hydroelectricity linked to the
energy crisis caused by the conflict in Ukraine, water releases can only begin on Monday 30 May.

Principles :
Entries and accreditation requests must be made by the National Federation using the ICF’s online
entries system (SDP):

Registrations for masters will also be made on the ICF’s online entries system (SDP).
For detailed instructions on how to submit entries, please read the SDP user guide. Any questions or
issues to entries or accreditation should be sent to sdp@canoeicf.com prior to the respective
deadline.

Nominal Entries :
• Nominal entries close: 23th May 2022
• Each athlete competing must be entered by name.
• Team personnel must also be submitted for accreditation at this time. These
entries will be used to produce the accreditation cards for all teams.

competition organiser will NOT be accepted.

VISA REQUIREMENT
France is a state-member of the European Union. The French Embassy in your country will provide you
with all detailed information about visas. You will find details in the website on French Foreign Affairs
Ministry (http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en/).
Please inform in advance but no later than 18th May 2022 the Organising Committee together with
the visa form whether your team needs entry visas to France.

PageCOVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY PROTOCOL
The organizing committee will apply the national and international health rules in place at that time.
Sanitary measures will be updated by local authorities, and by the ICF.
However, each participating National Federation will be expected to have undertaken their own risk
assessment and have a Covid-19 safety protocol in place and will require to have taken the
precautionary measures prior to travel.
Each Participating National Federation is responsible for all costs (including medication) should any
member of their Team be required to go into quarantine at any time from arrival to departure and/or
be hospitalised or to return to the country of departure. You can find all information on :

The ICF, the Host National Federation and the Host Organising Committee will try to support the
concerned person as much as they can.
NOTE: We will keep you informed of the evolution of the health situation in France in the next
