ENTRY CLOSING DATES Kick-Off Schooling Show - Entries Close March 26 Spring Fling Schooling Show - Entries Close April 23 Harvest Special Schooling Show - Entries Close September 3 Winter Wonderland Schooling Show - Entries Close November 19 SHOW OFFICE HOURS Friday: Noon - 5 p.m. Saturday & Sunday: 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. (or 30 minutes after the completion of the last class) SHOW FEES Stall Fee: $75/stall • Stall fee covers Friday-Sunday, whether for use as a horse stall, tack room, or grooming stall. Each stall includes two (2) bags of shavings. • A fee of $25 for every stall in the barn will be charged for any barns arriving before Friday or departing after Sunday. Early arrival may be allowed only with written permission from management. • Stalls are restricted to 224 onsite stalls. Winter Wonderland Schooling Show will be restricted to 175 stalls to account for shorter daylight days. • No haul ins are permitted. Every horse on the grounds will receive a stall fee. No sharing stalls. Class Fee: $20 per class CA Drug Fee: $8 Entry Late Fee: $25 per entry if submitted after entry closing date RV Spot: $85 + 13.5% in T.O.T. & assessments for full weekend (Friday - Sunday) Onsite RV Policy: On site RV/travel trailer sites are available for reservation on a first come, first served basis. Please email RV@PasoRoblesHorsePark.com or call 805-369-1338 to make your reservations. No reservations are final until you receive written confirmation from a Park show staff member. Reservations are final and cannot be canceled; you will be responsible for the full cost of the reservation. Hookups include 30 amp and 50 amp power, and potable water. No pump-outs are offered at schooling shows. Each site is assigned, you can find your assignment posted on the Stall Chart board at your arrival. REFUNDS In the case that you will no longer be able to attend the horse show, please refer to the chart below to determine if you owe any outstanding fees or will be receiving any refunds. We appreciate your efforts to help us be organized in preparing for the shows allowing us to accommodate as many competitors as possible. Should an unforeseen circumstance arise, please do not hesitate to reach out to management to discuss the details and determine if an exception can be made. After that point you are fully responsible for the stall fee related to each specific horse’s entry and a $50 office fee. Until the Monday of the show you may change which horse is entered if you still plan utilize the originally reserved stall(s); this will only incur the $50 office fee for processing the change. All tack/grooming stalls reserved are final at the point of entry closing or 24 hours after a sold out show is announced. You may choose to fill a tack/grooming stall with a new horse entry after that point with the related late entry fees; however any “canceled” tack/grooming stalls after that point will still be billed to the trainer or to the designated competitor account. For competing entries there is no fee to scratch a competition/class as long as notification has been made in the show office the day prior to the scratched competition/class. Should management have to cancel competitions/classes/sections that cannot be rescheduled due to inclement weather and/or any other emergency or unforeseen situation there are no refunds on entry and stall fees or of any other fees. 5

SCHEDULE OF AWARDS Gold Star Awards • One of the aspects of the Paso Robles Horse Park that we are most proud of is the welcoming and courteous atmosphere. This ambiance comes from the personalities of everyone from staff to riders to trainers. In appreciation of all that you do to support this environment, and to add an element of fun to the schooling shows, we have incorporated the Gold Star Awards. • The Park Team will be on the lookout for anything to support sportsmanship and fun at the Park. When they see it in action they will give you a gold star and add an entry for your barn in the drawing to win a gift basket. The winner will be drawn at noon on Sunday. Year-End Awards • Points from select divisions in hunters, jumpers, and equitation will be tallied at the end of the 2021 Schooling Show Series to determine Year-End Champions. These champions will be celebrated on the Friday evening prior to the 2022 Kick-Off Schooling Show. In addition to division champions, Show Management will determine special awards such as the Gold Star Barn and Show Office Secretary's Award. Triple Crown Challenge Awards • The Triple Crown Challenge presented by Harris Farms is meant to highlight the adaptability of the off-track-thoroughbred. To present a well-rounded thoroughbred, riders are asked to compete in the jumpers at the Kick-Off Schooling Show, hunters at the Spring Fling Schooling Show, and either jumpers or hunters (whichever best fits your horse) at the Harvest Special Schooling Show. Points from these classes will be tracked and the top three horses will be recognized at the Harvest Special Schooling Show. • Trainer Incentive: To encourage trainers to continue to train and show thoroughbreds, the trainer with the most points accumulated by riders in ALL T.I.P. classes at the first three schooling shows will receive a prize. PARK MEDAL FINALS The Park 3’ Medal Finals and Green Rider Park Medal Finals for those that qualify in the 2021 show season will be held at Turkey Trot & Jump, November 18-21, 2021. Riders with 7 points or more are invited to participate in the Medal Finals. Medal finalists will receive a free stall if competing in the Finals. RULES & REGULATIONS The following rules and regulations will be enforced throughout the duration of the show and apply to all competitors and riders on the property: 1. Entries received or postmarked before the entries close date will be charged at $20/class. The leadline and warm ups are exceptions. 2. Entries received or postmarked after the entries close date including those made on the days of the show, will be charged a $25/horse late fee. 3. Adds & Scratches: Adds and scratches may be made onsite at the show as long as they are completed prior to the start of the related class. Adds and scratches may be made at the back gate of the ring running the class. Classes scratched at the horse show office prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Adds or scratches made at the back gate will be charged $5/class office fee. Classes that are not scratched will be charged at full price. It is the responsibility of the rider and trainer to ensure the classes entered are correct. 4. Payment: All payments should be paid by credit card, cash, or check made payable to Paso Robles Horse Park Foundation. Any checks returned by the bank will be charged a $35 penalty, or 10% of the face value, whichever is greater. 5. Open Balances: Competitors who do not come into the office to close out at the end of the show forfeit the right to make adjustments on any show charges. Final balances will be automatically charged to the payment method on file. 6. Credits/Balances: Competitors may be notified of any previous credits or balances from previous Park activity at the time of check-in. Outstanding balances must be paid prior to picking up show numbers. Outstanding balances may be deducted from prize money payments. 7. Individuals that do not provide current and accurate information in the prize money section of the entry form acknowledge that they may not receive winnings in a timely matter. Park staff will make reasonable efforts to contact the payee for information. However, if after 12 months following the last day of competition prize money has not been collected, prize money may be forfeited. 8. Schedule: The schedule indicated in this prize list is tentative. Based on entry numbers and other real- time factors, schedules may be updated at anytime leading up to the show. The most accurate estimated schedule is posted by 8pm at PasoRoblesHorsePark.com/daily-show-schedule the day prior. Any rounds not complete by 10 minutes before the posted time of the following class/activity may potentially receive a two-minute gate call and not have the opportunity to compete. 9. Management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally, or cancel entries, awards, or prizes, and/ or adjust the time schedule, combine, scratch, or move classes as necessary without claims or damage. A two-minute gate call will be requested and enforced. All judge’s decisions are final. 10. All professionals and non-professionals riding on the Park property must wear securely fastened protective headgear, which meets ASTM/SEI standards and carries the SEI tag. Any rider violating this rule at any time will immediately be prohibited from further riding until such headgear is properly in place. 11. Stall Use: A flat fee of $75/stall will be charged for each stall, tack room, and/or grooming stall reserved. This fee grants access to a reserved stall beginning on Friday at Noon through Sunday at the conclusion of the show. Stalls are 12’x12’ and will be available on a first come, first served basis. Stalls reserved will come with two (2) bags of shavings. Early Arrivals: Those traveling from farther away may request an early arrival to be granted at management’s discretion. Early arrivals will be charged $25 per stall per night. 12. Feed & Shavings: The Paso Robles Horse Park Feed Office will be open during show dates, and will be offering hay and shavings. Alfalfa, orchard, timothy hay, and bagged shavings will be offered. For advance orders please email feed@pasorobleshorsepark.com or complete the form found under the Competitor Resources page on the Park website. Orders can be made at the show in the office. Competitors may bring their own feed and bedding but they may not receive a feed or bedding delivery from an outside company. 9
RULES & REGULATIONS 13. Non-competing Horses: Due to limited availability at these shows, all horses on the grounds must be competing. If circumstances allow and non-competing horses are permitted with management's permission, a non-showing fee of $50 per horse will apply. 14. RV Parking & Hookups: 28 RV parking spots with water and power hookups are available for rental. A flat fee of $85 will be charged. Additionally, in compliance with the City of Paso Robles an additional 13.5% will be collected to pay T.O.T. and tourism assessments. This will grant access to the spot beginning at noon on Friday through Sunday at the conclusion of the show. All RV reservations will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Early arrivals will be charged an additional $25/RV space. 15. Refunds: At management’s discretion, entry fees will be refunded in full, less a $50 office charge, with a veterinary certificate or medical doctor’s note prior to the start of the show. Please refer to the refund information on page 5 to determine if you are eligible for a refund. 16. Schooling: No juniors or amateurs are allowed to school over fences without their trainer in the area. 17. Lunging: Lunging in the designated lunging areas will be permitted on Friday between Noon and 6 p.m., and again on Saturday and Sunday, during daylight hours. Any lunging taking place in the GGT warm-up or competition arenas will result in a $250 fine. 18. Warm-Ups: $5 warm-up rounds will be available on Friday. Rounds are 5 minutes long. Additionally, a $5 warm-up class will be run at the start of Saturday and Sunday in each ring, with the exception of at the Winter Wonderland Schooling Show. These classes will utilize set courses. Please note, warm-up closing times will be posted at back gates and strictly enforced. 19. Hunter Attire: All riders must be in appropriate attire, which consists of a hunt coat, a shirt with collar, breeches, and tall boots or boots and half chaps. 20. Jumper Attire: All riders must be in appropriate attire, which consists of a hunt coat or a shirt with collar, breeches, and tall boots or boots and half chaps. 21. Hunter Equipment: Horses shown in hunter classes must have the proper equipment. Equipment requirements include: if a martingale is used, only a standing martingale is permitted, no figure-eight or dropped nosed bands, and no horse boots. No martingales are allowed in flat classes. 22. Photo and Video Consent: By competing at or attending competitions or events at the Paso Robles Horse Park, you grant permission to the unrestricted rights to use photographs and/or video footage of yourself, your family, your guests, and/or your animal for the purpose of promotion of the Park in various mediums. 23. No draw lines allowed in the show ring or to school over fences. 24. Awards and Prizes: Ribbons will be awarded in all classes 1st – 6th. Prizes will be available to 1st in each class. 25. All dogs must be on a leash. Owners are subject to a $50 fine for any dog not on a leash or for owners who do not pick up after their dog. 26. No trainers allowed on foot in the show ring during competition. 27. Professionals may only ride in open division classes. Any professionals riding in classes designated for Jr/ Am will be disqualified for the remainder of the day. 28. Class Splits: At the discretion of the judge or show management, a class may be split into multiple sections. In the case of flat classes, each section will be admitted separately by the back gate or split once in the ring by the judge. In the case of classes over fences, a “California Split” may be used to award multiple sets of placings. 29. Points are tracked for each calendar year of the Paso Robles Horse Park Schooling Show Series. At the start of the following year, an awards ceremony will recognize high point competitors at various heights. Points will be awarded as follows: 1st - 7pts, 2nd - 5pts, 3rd - 4pts, 4th - 3pts, 5th - 2pts, 6th - 1pt. 30. Non-Comp/Hor Concours rounds are permitted only at manager’s discretion. Rounds will be charged at $25/round. 31. Trailer Parking: All trailers must be parked in the designated trailer parking lot near the entrance of the Park. Any trailer not parked in the correct location may have its hitch locked and may be applicable to a 10 $50 fee.
PARK DEFINITIONS • Walk/Trot Flat: To be eligible, horse and rider must not have competed in a walk/trot/canter flat class at this show. • WT Hunter Hack: Horses will first be worked and judged on the flat. Riders may be asked to demonstrate walk and trot gaits. Following the completion of the flat phase, riders will be directed by the judge to jump two fences set in a line. Riders may either walk or trot the jumping portion. • Hunter Hack: Horses will first be worked and judged on the flat. Riders may be asked to demonstrate walk, trot, and canter gaits. Following the completion of the flat phase, riders will be directed by the judge to jump two fences set in a line. • Hunters or Equitation Over Poles: Fences will consist of jump poles laid flat on the ground. To be eligible, rider and horse combination must not be competing in classes greater than 2’7”, or .80m in height. Riders may choose to complete the course at the trot or the canter. • Cross-rail Hunters or Equitation: Fences are not to exceed 18” at the center. This division has no entry restrictions. No combinations or oxers. • Short/Long Stirrup Hunters or Equitation: Fences are not to exceed 2’. Horse rider combinations are not to have shown at heights above 3’ in past competitions. No combinations or oxers. • Pre-Child/Adult Hunters or Equitation: Fences are not to exceed 2’3”. • Low Child/Adult Hunters or Equitation: Fences are not to exceed 2’6”. • Modified Child/Adult Hunters or Equitation: Fences are not to exceed 2’9”. • Child/Adult Hunters or Equitation: Fences are not to exceed 3’. • Park Green Rider Medal: Hosted at the Park Schooling Show Series, the Park B Series, and other regional shows, the Park Green Rider Medal features fences not to exceed 2’ in height. A minimum of two riders must complete the course in order for the round to qualify for points. The top four riders (if available) in the class may be asked to work off at the judge’s discretion. Tests may include USEF medal tests 1-6 and 10-13. This class is open to all junior and amateur riders who have not competed at heights above 3’. Riders may not cross enter in the Park Medal. Finals of the Park Green Rider Medal will be held at the Turkey Trot & Jump show. The flat class will be walk/trot, with an option to canter. No non-judged rounds will be permitted during these classes. 11
PARK DEFINITIONS • SBCRC Hunt Seat Medal, 17 & under: This class is open to junior riders who are members of SBCRC. To be shown over a course of a minimum of eight fences 2’9” in height, and may include one combination. The top four riders (if available) in the class must be asked to work off. A minimum of two entries must be judged over the course, in order to qualify for the finals. The top two riders from each show will qualify for finals. It may be combined with the 18 & over medal where points will be awarded to the riders in each division equally. There will be 2 firsts and seconds, etc. A previously qualified rider may ride again. If that rider places first the next two places qualify. All courses shall be posted one-half hour before the class. The winner of the finals each year shall be ineligible for any future medal class in the same division. • SBCRC Hunt Seat Medal, 18 & over: This class is open to amateur riders who are members of SBCRC. It follows the same specifications as SBCRC 17 & under medal. • SBCRC Green Rider Medal: This class is open to junior and amateur members of SBCRC who qualify over fences in the medal class. To be shown over a course of up to eight fences not exceeding 2’3” in height, with no combinations. At the judge’s discretion, the top four riders in the class may be asked to work off, using one or more of USEF Medal tests 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6 (trot and canter only) or any other tests that the judge deems suitable for the level of riders in the class. A minimum of two entries must be judged over the course, in order for the winner to qualify for the finals. A previously qualified rider may ride again. If that rider places first the next two places qualify. The top two riders from each show will qualify for finals. • Betsy Woods Horsemanship Medal: A two-phase event designed to test a rider’s ability to demonstrate proper horsemanship as it relates to work on the flat and over fences. Riders in the flat phase may be asked to ride at the walk, rising trot, rising trot demonstrating a lengthening of stride, sitting trot, canter, hand gallop, and counter canter. No martingales are permitted and only traditional hunter-type bits may be used (gags, leverage bits, and hackamores are prohibited). The jumping phase will take place over hunter/jumper type obstacles set at 2’6”. The course may include a bending line, roll back to a single jump, a hand gallop to a single jump and a trot fence. The course must have at least two changes in direction. Combinations are not allowed. The course should be ridden in a direct and prompt fashion. The jumping phase will be scored using the open numerical system. Riders who have not won a hunter, jumper, or equitation class at 3’ or over may compete in this class. The top two riders from each show will qualify for finals. A previously qualified rider may ride again. If that rider places first the next two places qualify. A minimum of two (2) entries must be judged over the course for the class to fill. • All jumper classes will be run at Table II Sec. 2 (a, b or c) unless otherwise specified. The table will be specified at the backgate. • Modified Pre-Child/Adult Jumpers: Fences are not to exceed .70m. Table IV sec. 1 – Optimum time may be utilized one day. • Low Pre-Child/Adult Jumpers: Fences are not to exceed .80m. • Pre-Child/Adult Jumpers: Fences are not to exceed .85m. • Modified Child/Adult Jumpers: Fences are not to exceed .95m. • Low Child/Adult Jumpers: Fences are not to exceed 1.00m. • Child/Adult Jumpers: Fences are not to exceed 1.10m. • Modified Jr/AO Jumpers: Fences are not to exceed 1.15m. • Jr/AO Jumpers: Fences are not to exceed 1.20m. 12
