2021 Business Sponsorship Package As a crucial member of the creative community of the St. Croix River Valley, Franconia Sculpture Park believes that art, nature, and community connect all of us. We invite you to join us for our 25th Anniversary as a 2021 Business Sponsor! About Franconia Sculpture Park Franconia Sculpture Park is the pre-eminent, artist-centered sculpture park in the Midwest. Founded in 1996, Franconia’s mission is to foster an inclusive community to create and contemplate contemporary art inspired by nature and our ever-evolving world. Located in the scenic St. Croix River Valley of Minnesota, Franconia operates a 50-acre outdoor museum, active artist residency program, and an impressive schedule of more than 60 public programs each year. Franconia is free and open to the public 365 days a year. By expanding our visibility and outreach in rural Minnesota and beyond, Franconia is able to serve a growing audience of over 180,000 annual visitors. Audience Reach In 2020, Franconia hosted a total of 175,535 in-person visitors from rural Minnesota and beyond, in addition to 381,178 online viewers who engaged with our online tours and lectures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Franconia was able to remain safely open during the pandemic, hosting 3 outdoor Music @ Franconia concerts that served 7,655 individuals and our popular new Film @ Franconia series that served 567 individuals. We also launched our Art & Farmers Markets, 6 monthly events from May through October that served 12,070 indi- viduals, and hosted the popular 24th Annual Art & Artists Celebration during the Franconia Commons Grand Opening, with 4,981 individuals in attendance. This year we will introduce 3-weeks of Youth Installation Camps in July, a Summer Solstice Performance Festival on June 19, a month-long series of horror films in October screened at Franconia Commons, and many more! Here are some highlights detailing Franconia’s upcoming 2021 Public Programs:
Summer Solstice Festival Saturday, June 19, 5pm-11pm On Saturday June 19, 2021, Franconia Sculpture Park will host a Summer Solstice Festival, highlighting the groundbreaking work of nearly 20 emerging and world-renowned LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC performance artists creating new work around ritual, magic, and the summer solstice. This nighttime event will celebrate the longest day in the year with performances from 5pm until 11pm, culminating in a screening of Kenneth Anger’s iconic short films and a participatory fire ritual with audiences and artists alike, giving Franconia’s diverse community an opportunity to meet and interact with artists directly. “Dumpster Fire” performance in 2018 Franconia Art & Farmers Markets Every first Sunday of the month May-October, from 10am-2pm, Franconia hosts an art and farmers market featuring goods from local farmers and artisans. This event serves over 12,000 individuals each year and supports the economic vitality of the region. Sponsored in part by Compeer Financial. 25th Anniversary Art & Artists Celebration Saturday, September 25, 3pm-9pm This year’s Annual Art & Artists event promises to be our biggest event of the year. Celebrating our 25th Anniversary, the completion of 30 new sculptures, and the culmination of a successful year highlighting Authority, Visibility, and Public Space, Franconia invites the 2021 artists-in-residence back to the park as we announce the launch of 4Ground: Midwest Land Art Biennial. The 25th Anniversary Celebration will feature a fashion show with local designer Joshua McGarvey and headlining performances by world-renowned Mexican Institute of Sound. This event serves nearly 5,000 individuals. The Grand Opening of Franconia Commons at the 24th Annual Art & Artists Celebration in 2020 Film @ Franconia This monthly summer film series features free outdoor films at Franconia, highlighting the best in art films, past and present. Parking is $5/car. Snacks and drinks available for purchase. All films start promptly at 9pm and will be held in Franconia Amphitheatre unless there is inclement weather, in which case they will be moved into Franconia Commons. This series serves over 1,500 individuals.
