The Swim Course will again take place within pristine waters of Mooloolaba Beach. The swim start and swim finish have moved further south along Mooloolaba Beach to ensure the safest and best conditions for all athletes. Once LUKE PALMER you’ve conquered the Swim and exit the brand- Race Director new grassed transition on Parkyn Parade, the Bike Course brings you out onto the Sunshine Motorway before heading back into Mooloolaba to venture up the coast towards Maroochydore. The Run Course will stretch from Mooloolaba to Cotton Tree giving athletes one of most picturesque Run Courses in Australia. We are set and ready for another fantastic race on the Sunshine Coast and are looking forward to seeing you throughout the weekend. As part of our athlete experience, we are looking forward to bringing back our Transition Tours, Expo and Merchandise and Information Session with the Race Director at the Finish Line on Saturday. Please ensure that you read this Athlete Information Guide thoroughly as there is not a formal athlete briefing. PRE RACE INFORMATION VENUE ATHLETE CHECK-IN See page 16 for time and location. We will be operating Check-In by appointment only. You will receive an email three weeks from race day with a link to book these times. All packs will need to be collected during Athlete Check-In opening hours. Please note, no packs will be posted out prior to the event. ROKA SWIM COURSE 1.9km SWIM SAFETY COURSE MAP Water safety personnel and craft will be located on the water during the swim. They will have relevant equipment and are there to support you should you require. At any time should you require the assistance of water safety please raise one arm into the air and they will come to your aid. Should at any point in time you decide to abandon the swim, you will be taken to one of the swim extraction points. At this point in time, if required you will be checked over by medical and your timing band removed. If your timing band has been removed, do not attempt to re-enter the race. The Motorway is fast and smooth with few undulations - perfect for a speedy bike time! Once off the highway, athletes will ride along the beachfront to Maroochydore and back, then back onto Buderim Avenue for a second lap before heading back into Transition in Mooloolaba. 43
