Electives
Electives provide students the opportunity to pursue important topics that
are central to becoming a well-rounded musician. Typical offerings include
performance class, theory, multi-track recording, and mentorship.

Competitions
Prep is a great way to learn the skills needed for auditions and
competitions. A scholarship competition is held annually for individual
musicians. Advanced chamber groups often compete in national
competitions such as MYA Discover, St. Paul, and Fischoff.

Monthly Group Meetings
Each month, the entire Prep program meets for a group class. These
classes provide opportunities for special events such as masterclasses,
lectures, and discussions with guest artists.
