I SEE YOU LIKE THIS A UNIQUE PARENT & CHILD CREATIVE PHOTO STUDIO EXPERIENCE With our growing appetite to document our lives through photos and selfies, children are so often the reluctant subjects of parent’s cameras; asked to smile, look natural, look that way, and come in closer. I SEE YOU LIKE THIS is your chance to be a part of a unique art project, turning the camera back and allowing children to see their parents as sub- jects through the lens of their own imaginations. The experience begins with questions to the child about what kind of person their parent is. They then choose a key object, before directing a creative portrait directly onto their 'subject's' face. The pair then enter the studio to direct the photoshoot. After an exhibition at the Portland Arts Centre (with participants agreement) each pair receives a copy of their portrait to take home and treasure. PORTLAND CIVIC HALL Saturday 11 & Sunday 12 July 45 minute sittings - strictly limited sessions per parent / child pair each day. $20 per sitting including a professional portrait printed on high quality paper.
