General FAQ on JAE ▪ Students should make sure they do consider the different institutions and courses related to their area of interests ▪ If the students have Higher Mother Tongue, they must place choices for JC before their choices for polytechnic so that bonus points from Higher Mother Tongue can be considered ▪ If Higher Mother Tongue (HMT) instead of English is used as the first language in the L1R5/L1R4 aggregate computation, students can still use bonus points in the Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) provided students obtain grades of A1 to C6 in both their first languages ▪ Aggregate scores are automatically calculated and reflected in Form A for one past year and current year’s results ▪ Students are to accept their offer online while waiting for their transfer/appeal. Failure to do so will deem to have forfeited his/her place in the course
