2019 TRAVEL SHOW // OVERVIEW 2 Event Overview Now entering its 17th year, The New York Times Travel Show 2020, scheduled for January 24–26, 2020, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City, is the destination for the travel industry to meet and for travel enthusiasts to explore global and domestic destinations. The 2019 show brought together 35,568 participants including 11,750 travel trade and 23,800 consumer travelers with 747 exhibiting organizations from 176 countries. Supported by more than 40 industry and media sponsors, plus 1,221 accredited media journalists from around the world, The New York Times Travel Show attendees have the opportunity to get a closer look at domestic and international hot spots, familiar favorites and those under-the-radar escapes. 2020 TRAVEL SHOW // ATTENDEES 3 Who Attends . Travel professionals (travel agents, meeting planners, hotels, airlines, consortiums, line agents, home-based agents, agency owners) across the U.S. attend an exclusive trade-only day on Friday, January 24. Travel industry professionals have access to an extensive education program, a Travel Industry Conference, exclusive viewing of the exhibition, an international networking reception and tremendous business opportunities. The Trade Day is a forum for an expected 11,750+ travel professionals to: • Discover new ideas to stay competitive • Hear from industry leaders • Network with peers • See the latest destinations and hot spots from over 700 exhibitors • Conduct and negotiate business deals Consumer attendees represent a high demographic from the tristate area who are seeking information about trips they are interested in taking and deals. Consumer days are January 25–26, however, historically thousands of travel professionals attend these days as well. Over 23,800 expected consumers can: • Visit with 747 exhibitors from 176 countries • View performance stages, wine and food tastings, and culinary presentations from around the world • Attend seminars with featured speakers • Meet one on one with travel experts

2020 TRAVEL SHOW // ATTENDEES 6 Our Attendees TRADE ATTENDEES • 11,756 Travel Professionals in attendance including: — 5,569 travel agents — The volume of business represented by attending travel agents estimated to be a record $4.9 billion — 1,221 accredited media journalists from around the world CONSUMER ATTENDEES • 23,812 consumer travelers, the highest attendance in show history: — Consumers attending will spend an estimated record $107 million on travel in 2019. — Exhibitors selling travel trips reported they are expecting to generate $6.5 million in revenue from consumer traveler attendees. — An affluent, educated audience comprised of tech-savvy travelers, millennials, families and baby boomers. — 27% of attendees are millennials; and 29% are baby boomers — Approximately 96% of attendees agree the show achieved their goals of gathering trip information, learning from travel experts and booking trips — Almost 90% have a college degree or higher Source: 2019 Internal Data
