venture in March – The Crescent, Finnieston, Glasgow and have another exciting project in

Here at The R Group Bar & Restaurants we appreciate the importance of giving back
to the community. That is why every year we raise thousands of pounds for some local
charities, and also some charities further afield that are close to all our hearts. This is
something we plan to continue doing for many years to come!
THE R GROUP IN THE COMMUNITY
In March 2019 we held our first ever Glitz & Glam Ladies Lunch in aid of Breast Cancer Care
Scotland which was a great success, raising £4500 for this worthwhile cause. We are holding this
event again in March 2020 and have got a great day lined up for everyone this year, with the
Charity of SiMBA being our cause, for parents who have tragically lost a baby.
In May 2020 we will be hosting out 11th Annual Sportsman Dinner in aid of raising much needed
funds for our 2 chosen charities Alzheimer Scotland and Campsie View School, Lenzie. This
Dinner is hosted by Tam Cowan, who is joined by 2 hilarious speakers. The Auction & Raffle offer
some fabulous prizes to be won, which along with a percentage of donated ticket sales has helped
us donate over £65,000 to these wonderful charities over the years.
Christmas is a time of year where families can really struggle and a few years ago one of our team
came up with the idea to help raise awareness and donations for our local food bank. This is now
an annual tradition here at The R Group. Each December we host Christmas Jumper Day where
all our staff donate an item to the collection!

Archibald went on to blend his own whisky called Royal Charlie, an inspiration for our signature cocktail.
In early February 2019 the Crescent opened its doors with the vision to continue the long history
of this venue, offering ‘Good Spirits and Food to Share’
The Crescent offers an exceptional list of champagnes, wines, beers, spirits and a mix of contemporary
