11 STUDY A DEGREE nnSAM DAWSON MAv I started my Master of Aviation study in 2015, after completing a Bachelor of Aviation (Air Transport Pilot) and Graduate Diploma in Aviation (Flight Instruction). I chose Massey’s Master of Aviation degree as I wanted to further my knowledge in the wider aviation industry, particularly in airport and airline management. The degree’s structure enabled me to study these topics in depth. With the wide variety of interests and specialties of the lecturers and supervisors, the degree gave me the opportunity to conduct research into a range of aviation topics. I found the lecturers to be especially supportive throughout my study. They always made themselves available to address my questions and guide me in the right direction. I am currently a Graduate Flight Instructor at the School of Aviation where I can apply what I’ve learnt from the Master of Aviation degree in my instruction to students.
