THE MAIN DATABASE OF APPRENTICESHIPS FOR THE NOTTINGHAM AREA Nottingham City Council has a designated ‘Apprenticeship Hub’ which promotes a vast variety of traineeships and apprenticeships through its business partners in Nottingham including roles directly employed by NCC. www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/job-opportunities We are pleased to work in partnership with The Bulwell Academy to promote the value of apprenticeships. The sorts of apprenticeships we recruit vary from year to year, but we are often looking for administrators and for trades - such as plumbers and electricians. We work in partnership with Nottingham City Council and we support their approach to recruitment for entry-level jobs. “Local Jobs for Local People” helps local people gain access to training and employment opportunities in the city. The National Citizenship Service (NCS) gives young people aged 16-19 the chance to take part in a four-week programme (including a one-week residential placement) to develop their skills and employability. NCS can help fast track your future by learning new skills for work and life and it will look great on your CV because it helps teach the skills employers say they are increasingly looking for in candidates: confidence, teamwork and leadership skills. NCS gives you a framework to show off and talk about your skills and experiences in interviews.
