2019 GRADUATING CLASS AMPAP Graduation Ceremony Thursday, April 4, 2019 Level 2, AsiaWorld-Expo Hong Kong International Airport Lantau, Hong Kong
GLOBAL ACI-ICAO AIRPORT MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION PROGRAMME (AMPAP) Message from the Pierre Coutu Programme Executive A.A.E., Ed.D., FRAeS Programme Executive Passion and professionalism are the very essence of AMPAP and those of us who are involved in the Programme are fortunate to encounter many prodigious minds. Perhaps it is because our participants are often very highly motivated people with a curiosity and enthusiasm for aviation. The Programme partners, ACI and ICAO, established four strategic objectives for AMPAP that continue to withstand since the launch in 2007: Increase Expertise; Establish Uniform Standards; Share Expertise; and Promote Professional Excellence. The success of the programme may primarily be due to the sharing of best practices. However, on another level, we are inspired to witness a frank awareness of all concerned parties the importance of consolidating the practice of Airport Management as a profession. Passion led AMPAP graduates to incorporate their Alumni in 2012 as a global community of practice, known as the IAP CoP and its elected Board of Directors has a truly global representation. Fundamentally, the IAP CoP has been quietly contributing to the advancement of best practices through “Airport Lab” presentations and white paper publications. It has also been contributing to promoting AMPAP and toward implementing the AMPAP re-accreditation process that ACI ICAO initiated at the start of 2019. Passion has led AMPAP to accomplish some significant milestones since its inception: the recognition of the AMPAP mandatory courses for elective credits in the MBA Programmes of the Toulouse Business School, in France, and Southern Cross University, in Australia; welcoming airport executives from more than 350 airports spread in over 110 countries; and surpassing 100 AMPAP gateway course deliveries. And yet, we are tirelessly committed to doing better on other fronts, namely, by working to increase the participation of women beyond the current 25% intake and making the Programme more universally available to participants from LDCs. Another ambitious goal is for AMPAP to become an integral part of the competency building master plans in airport enterprises. Each year, it is an honor and privilege for me to have a front-row, personal opportunity to commend and applaud the new AMPAP graduates. Please join me to extend hearty Congratulations to the 2019 International Airport Professionals and AMPAP Associates! CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2019 GRADUATES!
