at the 1968 US Nationals at only 19! Driving for the
legendary Bill “Grumpy” Jenkins, Larry won the first
pro stock race he ever entered. Larry will have a few
cars on display including the “Grumpys Toy” Monza, a
Jenkins Camaro, and the famed “Buckshot” Corvette.

Matt Avery is an award-winning media producer who covers the full-breadth of automotive topics.
He gives special focus on original owners and is the writer of the widely-read and long-running “Classic
Recollections” automotive column in the Daily Herald. He’s also the mind and pen behind the “In the
Garage” collector car feature in Barrington’s signature magazine, Quintessential Barrington. Matt wrote
for the television show, MotorWeek, before serving as Senior Video Producer for Cars.com.
Matt’s passion started hands-on as a repair technician, working for Mercedes-Benz and BMW,
allowing his body of work to combine the technical and creative aspects of automotive journalism
and photography. His new book, COPO, came out in the fall and will be available for purchase and
signings. Matt’s expansive library of images, captured specifically for the book, has a permanent home
in the archives at the General Motors Heritage Center.
