Featured Vehicle Display: Citroën celebrating 100 years of Citroën – Building Y – Citroën was founded by its namesake, André Citroën, in 1919 with the goal of building an affordable car for the people of France. His vehicles were the first to be mass produced in France resulting in 100 units per day. That first vehicle was the 10 HP Type A and more than 24,000 were produced. 1939 B11 COMMERCIALE Although Citroën borrowed heavily from Ford with its production methods PER AHLSTROM and even the design of that first car, the company actually introduced numerous innovations that are still in use today. The Citroën Traction Avant pioneered such advancements as unibody construction, front-wheel drive and four-wheel independent suspension in a mass produced vehicle. The first production car with modern disc brakes was also built by Citroën. As proof of the viability of these developments, the Citroën 2CV remained nearly unchanged from 1948 through 1990. Special thanks to the Citroëns @ Carlisle club for helping bring a special celebration to life to celebrate this amazing milestone. 1952 TRACTION AVANT 15CV CARL ERB 1955 TRACTION AVANT 11B 1960 PANHARD PL17 1961 DS19 1966 DS ALAIN DAUMAS GRAND STANDING GABRIELLE ISENBRAND DAVE AGAR PAUL BROWN 1967 2CV TRUCKETTE 1969 DS21 1971 GS SERGE ROUSSELLE PAUL ANDERSON GEORGE DYKE 1972 SM 1976 2CV SPOT 1981 CX 2400 PALLAS 1987 2CV SAUSSS ENTE GORDON SAUER KIM BARNES BRIAN PETERS KIM BARNES • See Brad Nauss’ 1950 Traction Avant 11BL which has been at EVERY Carlisle Import show since the first one in 1986 (see page 27) • Featured vehicles and seminars in the tent between Buildings Y and T • Citroën Parade (in chronological order) on Saturday at 9:15 AM • Birthday Cake on Saturday at 4 PM (everyone welcome!) 2019 CARLISLE IMPORT & PERFORMANCE NATIONALS / CARLISLEEVENTS.COM 9

Guest Spotlight: THE CIRCUIT PODCAST PODCAST MEMBERS MATT STERLING, LANCE DANMEYER AND KEITH KELLER JUDGING THE ROLLING EXHAUST CONTEST AT THE 2018 IMPORT & PERFORMANCE NATIONALS By Matt Sterling, The Circuit Podcast The Circuit Podcast all started because of a certain “loop” in York, PA. This cruising route has been a popular hangout for many a car enthusiast for as long as anyone can remember. We used to cruise “The Circuit” every Friday and Saturday night. Moving from PODCAST MEMBER MATT STERLING’S WRX SETUP WITH THE CIRCUIT PODCAST BROADCAST BOOTH AT A LOCAL SHOW meetup spot to meetup spot pretty much all night and sometimes until early in the morning. We did this all for the love of every- thing automotive. It didn’t matter what it was. If it had an engine we wanted to see it. Which brings us to our Podcast. This was started because of all the things we loved doing in downtown York with our cars, the thing we did the most was talk about cars – what projects we had, what mods we were planning and even who’s car was the fastest. So we figured, why not PODCAST MEMBER ERIC PEACHY AT A LOCAL bring that same joy we have for this hobby AUTOCROSS EVENT to the masses and let them enjoy it as well? Our podcast spans tons of subjects – from racing and car shows to car reviews. We try to inject our own brand of humor into the show to make it fun because, let’s be honest, that’s what this hobby is all about. You can find our podcast on SoundCloud and iTunes and you can keep track of what we are up to by following us on Facebook and Instagram @thecircuitpodcast. You can also find us as the judges in the Rolling Exhaust Contest Finale on Saturday and on CATCH US AT LOCAL SHOWS HERE IN CENTRAL PA AND the showfield.
