Some of the many events and community initiatives the Chamber supported include but are not

The Kiama Seaside Markets take place on the 3rd Sunday of every month, including the
occasional Public Holiday at the beautiful Black Beach Reserve, Kiama. The location of our
markets allows visitors to wander the markets at leisure, while experiencing the stunning backdrop
overlooking Kiama Harbour. Visitors can enjoy a wide array of art, craft, clothing, jewellery,
collectables, produce and much more. Where possible we try to showcase product and produce
that is made locally.
The markets have proven over the years to be a great way to generate and promote commerce in
our region. The KDBC actively encourages market goers to linger a little longer and experience
the amazing eateries and unique shopping experiences that are available in our main CBD areas.
Sometimes we get asked, why do we hold the Seaside Markets? To the Kiama and District
Business Chamber it is all about Commerce. The markets attract visitors to the area and on some
occassions as many as 2000 - 3000 visitors. Each visitor brings with them the opportunity to stop
and spend ttheir time and money in our local businesses. Tourism experts have suggested that our
large busy market can generate $500,000 in spending in our local econony.
