To find out more about the different walks and events happening throughout the year or find places to walk near you, check out: Health walks are FREE and there is no need to book. All walks are non-smoking and www.wakefield.gov.uk/yearofwalking please check before bringing along dogs. You don’t need any fancy walking gear, just sensible footwear and clothing suited to the weather conditions. You can filter the list of activities based on location, difficulty and distance, whether they are suitable for all the family, whether the route is suitable for people with disabilities or whether there is a cost for hiring equipment such as a running buggy.
