HOW T O JOIN A NEW ATHLETES ONLY TEA M ? BOOK YOUR INDIVIDUAL SKILL ASSESSMENT If you are new to PA or were not in one of our programs this season, you will need to schedule a free Individual Skill Assessment. Individual Skill Assessment is a one-on-one 15 minute evaluation where one of our friendly and helpful coaches will take your child through a tumbling and jump evaluation to determine their skill level. Athletes will be encouraged to show the full range of their skill set within a nurturing environment – we want to help your child be their best! STEP # 1 REGISTER EARLY AND SAVE! Register for tryouts and pay your downpayment before April 15th and save on both the downpayment AND monthly tuition fees for the season! There will be a $50 tryout fee that will be applied to the first month tuition for those who wish to wait to register for teams until after team placements. STEP #2 ALL ATHLETES - ATTEND TEAM PLACEMENTS ALL athletes (new and returning) must attend TEAM PLACEMENTS. This is where we will do group skills like stunts and basket tosses. To be considered for a PA All Star team you MUST attend these sessions. STEP #3 ALL ATHLETES - ATTEND TEAM REVEAL PARTY An in-person party to celebrate you and your new team! DI VISION S , AGE S … IN FO YOU N E E D T O SKILL LEVEL KN O W Levels are necessary to differentiate skill level in all aspects of All Star, mostly pertaining to tumbling and stunting. Below are the levels and a BRIEF example of some tumbling and stunting skills you may see in that level: PREMIER ACADEMY follows the rules set out Level 1: cartwheels, round-offs, front and back by the IASF (International All Star walkovers, knee or waist level single leg stunt, two- Federation) in conjunction with Cheer footed prep, straight cradles Canada and the Alberta Cheerleading Association. AD D ITIO NAL PR OGRAM M I N G OPTIO N S Stunting Classes Strength and Flexibility Classes: Any athlete who is on an All Star Non-Travel or Travel Team and is a flyer, must attend one a Strength and Flexibility class per week. These are also open to bases and back spots. • $10+ GST/month Stunt Privates: Get your stunt group together for extra training and one on one coaching! These 30 minute lessons can be scheduled on a month to month basis or ongoing throughout the season. Must be reserved as a full stunt group with a flyer, two bases and a back spot. • $29.99+ GST/athlete/month Tumbling Classes Tumbling is an important part of competitive cheerleading. The term tumbling is used to describe gymnastic elements such as cartwheels and back handsprings. There are two equally important components of tumbling: Standing and Running. Our tumbling packages are designed for athletes who are serious about competitive cheerleading and advancing in the sport. If your child loves cheerleading- they should be in tumbling at Premier! We offer the following types of lessons: 1. Group Classes: Group classes are tailor-made for the skills that your child wants to learn. Taught in groups with an expert coach your child will do drills, drills, drills and learn skills, skills, skills! Classes offered include: Beginner Basics, Advanced Basics, HSP 101, HSP 201, Tucks, Layouts and Fulls! ! These are 45 minute tumbling classes with up to 8 athletes/class. • $75.50 + GST/month for 1 class/week • $119.50 + GST/month for 2 classes/week 2. Semi-Private: In these 30-minute tumbling lessons athletes will receive more one on one attention and repetition resulting in more progress! 2:1 Athlete to instructor ratio. Offered September to April. • Regular Price: $916.00+ GST/season (September to April) or $114.50 + GST/month • Gold Package: $796.00 + GST/season (September to April or $99.50+ GST/month o This package will include one semi private lesson/week AND access to all open gym’s for FREE! o Must be booked by October 15th. Note that if cancelled prior to the end of April 2020, the difference would be charged at $114.50+ GST/month of lessons attended. Note: All Tumbling Fees are processed on the 25th day of the month prior. Open Gym Come in and check out the gym! Drop-in is an opportunity to practice tumbling or stunting or just have some fun! One coach, similar to a lifeguard, supervises open tumbling. These times are designed for athletes to work tumbling or stunting skills they are able to do confidently on their own while having access to the gym and equipment.
