The course runs on Mondays from 8:45 am to 5:30, and Tuesdays to Fridays from 8:45 am to 4:00 pm. Subjects covered in the course include classical ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, hip hop, acrobatics and vocal training. Additional private singing lessons are also available. COURSE Students are assessed vocally each term in preparation for auditions. We encourage students to work one-on-one with our vocal coaches. OUTLINE The curriculum is also supported by yoga, pilates, gym and water based cardio to encourage core muscular strength and support for mobility, flexibility and injury prevention. We also offer an osteopath onsite, for an additional small fee, to assist in rehabilitation and injury prevention. Master classes are held throughout the year incorporating all aspects of the industry, with instruction from current industry professionals and international guests. 2018 FULL TIME PERFORMING ARTS FEEDBACK The faculty of teachers continually liaise with the Directors of Patrick Studios Australia to follow the individual progress of each student. Students have a number of core teachers who develop technique and undertake regular assessments whilst industry professionals offer a variety of styles. FEE STRUCTURE The total cost for the 2018 Patrick Studios Australia Full Time Performing Arts Course is a total of $10,500. A non-refundable pre-payment of $1000 is due on October 1, 2017. The remaining $9,500 will be paid termly throughout 2018. The fee per term is $2,375. Fees must be paid prior to the commencement of each term. Direct Debit Payment is available, with payment being withdrawn on the 1st and 15th of every month. Please contact Amy-Lee Dionysius Reception for more information. Concession rates are also available to eligible students. ATTENDANCE 100% attendance is expected from all students at all scheduled classes, performances and special events throughout their time at Patrick Studios Australia. Failure to uphold a 95% attendance rate during their time here will result in a review of the student's enrolment within Patrick Studios Australia. This is to uphold a professional standard and also to meet the attendance criteria of Swinburne University. For safety and PSA protocol, all students are expected to sign- in at reception every day upon arrival and exit. If for any reason students are anticipating their absence, arriving late to school, or Karli Dinardo if a student needs to leave school early, the student must contact Reception as soon as possible. TEACHING FACULTY Todd Patrick - Studio Director & Director of Performing Arts Todd Patrick, is the founder and director of Patrick Studios Australia, one of the biggest and most successful performing arts schools in Australia. He is also the director of Kissing Bee Productions and Clover Agency & Events, a talent & events agency who represent some of this countries greatest performers & acts. Todd started his career working for the American giants, Disney. Whilst on tour he began modelling and choreographing for designers including Versace, Dior, Issey Miyaki, Gucci and Chanel across Europe and Asia. As a dancer he has worked for an array of cabaret companies, starting in The Lido in Paris before moving up to principal dancer and working for companies in Korea and Germany. In the commercial industry, Todd has performed for pop artists including Vanessa Amorosi, Ricki-Lee Coulter, Zoe Badwi, Madison Avenue, Kate Alexa, Toni Person, Hi-5, Guy Sebastian, Kate Ceberano and Danii Minogue in film clips, TV appearances and live performances. He has also choreographed for international DJ's and pop artists including Inaya Day (New York), Barbara Tucker (New York), Peyton (London), DJ Frankie Knuckles (New York) and Tune in Tokyo (Melbourne. His theatre/television choreographic credits include SK2, Target, Cabaret De Paris (Jupiter's Casino), Sesame Street (XSystem International), Pororo Live (XSystem International), Ooh La La (Kissing Bee Productions, Sensation - Ocean of White (Etihad Stadium), Peter and the Wolf (Melbourne Recital Centre), Countdown - The Arena Spectacular (Australian Tour) and Tobio (Malaysia). Todd continually choreographs for corporate clients including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Cricket Australia, KPMG, Flight Centre, HBA and Aussie Bum. Amanda Stone - Assistant Creative Director & Director of Elite/Junior School Amanda Stone is the Academy Awards of Childrenʼs entertainment: Choreographer, Director, producer, Dancer and Teacher; she does it all with precision and an unrivaled professionalism. Amanda trained in all styles of dance. She completed Certificate III in Musical Theatre and Commercial Dance at Bartuccio's, and extended her education by getting her Associate Diploma of Arts in Dance Instruction and Management at the Box Hill Institute of TAFE. Her Curriculum Vitae reads like a Who’s Who of childrenʼs entertainment. She has choreographed for American powerhouse Walt Disney Studios, Gary Ginivin Attractions (Lazy town Live , Pinnochio and Possum Magic) , Andrew K and Associates (Hairy Maclary & Friends and Bananas in Pyjamas ), Shine Entertainment (Thomas and the Hidden Treasure), X system Entertainment (Barbie -Mattel, Nickelodeon, Hit Entertainment, Sesame Street Workshop, Astro Boy, Garfield, Care Bears), Marilla productions (Looney Tunes, Winx Club, Totally Spies and Strawberry Short Cake). These shows have been performed all over Australia and Asia to huge success with Australia’s biggest and best musical theatre talent. As a dancer she has worked right across the globe from commercial events to blockbuster ET News, Kylie Minogue’s body double, TV shows, film clips, cheerleading for Melbourne Storm and huge corporate events for all of Australiaʼs best Choreographers. On top of it all, Amanda danced in every Disney production in Australia and Asia for several years until her talent for choreography was noticed and she became one of their highly respected Choreographers. Amandaʼs next step was in the formation of Marilla Productions, the children’s entertainment company where she was resident Choreographer and Show Director for several years creating stage shows to tour throughout Asia and Australia. Amanda was also Creative Director for the event “Vic Moves” a dance based competition for Victorian Secondary schools in 2010 at the Melbourne Comedy Theatre. She also Co Choreographed “Peter and the Wolf”, an educational contemporary dance piece, performed with a live orchestra at the Melbourne Recital Center in 2011. Due to popular demand it returned for a second season in 2012. In 2013 Amanda joined forces with Xsytem international and Kissing Bee Productions to produce live shows of Sesame Street and Pororo in Singapore. Amanda has also found the time to give something back to the industry as Director of Patrick Studios Australia’s Elite Squad and Junior School. Training and developing young dancers for a career in the Performing Arts, who are no doubt to fill spots in her shows and all others in the future. She is the best choice to nurture and support young artists on their way to a successful performing career. With her extensive career as both a Choreographer and Teacher her talent is unrivaled. She delivers an amazing amount of knowledge onto her students that will no doubt bring them all the same success that she has enjoyed for many years and many more to come. Andrew Hallsworth - Director of Musical Theatre Andrew won the 2015 Helpmann Award for ‘Best Choreography in a Musical’ for Opera Australia’s Anything Goes following his 2014 Helpmann Award win for the Hayes Theatre’s inaugural production of Sweet Charity, which also toured Australia in 2015. His theatre credits include Little Shop Of Horrors currently touring Australia, Ladies in Black (QTC/MTC) Rupert (Daniel Sparrow Productions), Dream Song, Shane Warne the Musical (concert), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and the World Premiere musical An Officer and A Gentleman. For the MTC he has choreographed Rupert which toured to the Kennedy Center in Washington, Private Lives, Hamlet, Next to Normal, and The Drowsy Chaperone. Andrew co-choreographed the international production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert with Ross Coleman. He staged Priscilla for Broadway followed by Italian and Brazilian season, US and UK Tours, Swedish, Korean and Spanish productions and recently a cruise ship version for Norwegian Cruise Line. For The Production Company he has co-directed and choreographed The Producers and Anything Goes and choreographed Jerry’s Girls, La Cage Aux Folles, The Pirates of Penzance, Gypsy, The Boy from Oz, Carousel, Mame and The Boy Friend. He co-choreographed The Music Man and Bye Bye Birdie. Further choreographic credits include the original Australian production of Eurobeat – Almost Eurovision, which was revived for the Edinburgh Festival, West End and UK tour. Menopause – the Musical, Leader of the Pack – The Ellie Greenwich Musical (Betty Pounder Green Room Award winner for Best Choreography), Sideshow Alley, The Merry Widow for Melbourne City Opera, Wombat Stew and Prodigal. Hayley Winch - 2nd Year Performing Arts Manager & Commercial Jazz Teacher Hayley has been performing professionally in the entertainment industry for over 10 years, with a career that has seen her conquer a variety of stages around Australia and overseas. From packed stadiums dancing in the Countdown arena tours 1 and 2, performing in theatres with musicals such as A Chorus line, Guys and Dolls,The Boy from Oz. She has also danced with some of Australia’s premiere artists and sung backing vocals on James Reyne's album "thirteen". Also fronting bands in some of Melbourne’s most iconic live music venues, Hayley has tread the boards in nearly all of the entertainment world, continuing to stamp her name across the industry. Her other credits include: Musicals: Oh!What a night Australian tour, Guys and DollsAustralian Tour, Boy from OzAustralian Tour, Follies The Production Company (Melbourne), The Boyfriend- The Production Company (Melbourne) A Chorus Line. Film clips: Ricki-Lee Coulter's “Can’t sing a different song”, Kate Alexa’s “teardrops”. Jason Duff - 1st Year Performing Arts Manager & Ballet Teacher Jason was a graduate with the Australian Ballet School and in his final year, was the first Australian recipient to receive a scholarship to the notable Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, awarded by Kitty Dukakis. The next year, he turned down a spot with the Bolshoi Ballet School to join the Australian Ballet, where he toured nationally and internationally performing Soloist and Principal roles. He then joined the West Australian Ballet performing the same accolades, before transitioning to Musical Theatre and joining "Hello Dolly" for its Australian tour with Gordon Frost Organization. He then took on a contract to the prestigious Le Lido de Paris in France before returning home to pursue a freelance career in the commercial scene. This involved touring nationally with Christine Anu, Rhonda Burchmore, performing with pop artists such as Jimmy Barnes, Kylie Minogue, Tina Cousins, T.V commercials and a dancer role in the movie "Moulin Rouge". From there, he sailed the high seas performing with Royal Caribbean, Princess and Norwegian Cruise Lines as dancer, dance captain and company manager for numerous years. In his final career year, he took on a last contract at the Royal Palace in Strasbourg, France as dancer/dance captain in "Oui J'adore". Dana Jolly - Musical Theatre & Jazz Dana’s career began at age of 9, in the musical Gypsy at Her Majesty’s Theatre Melbourne. Dana then studied at the Victorian College of Arts, before performing with Victorian State Opera and the Australian Contemporary Dance Company. Dana then moved to London, performing and choreographing in the UK, Europe, Scandinavia and Japan, for over a decade. Some of Dana’s credits include, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Song and Dance London West End and European Tour, The Royal Variety Performance, British Music Awards, National Music Express Awards, Winter Olympics Norway, ‘Shall We Dance’ UK and European tour,‘Souls In Motion’ European tour and West End, Hollywood and Broadway UK Tour, The Michael Ball television series, the Miss World Competition, Stonewall Concert Royal Albert Hall London, Strauss Waltzes Royal Festival Hall, and a wide variety of corporate, trade, fashion, Film,and television shows. She has worked with such artists as Ray Charles, Madonna, Prince, East 17, Cliff Richards, The Kinks, Ewan Mc Gregor, Michael Ball, Gloria Estefan, Robert Palmer, Oasis, Ray Charles, and Michael Crawford to name a few. International choreographers and directors that Dana has assisted include Hal Prince, Mel Brooks and Susan Stroman in New York, and Ben Elton, David Gilmore, Arlene Phillips, and Anthony Van Laast in London. Dana returned to Australia as Resident Choreographer for the Australian productions of Showboat, receiving a Green Room Nomination, We Will Rock You, and The Producers, before choreographing 2,000 dancers and puppeteers in Citrawarna Colours Of Malaysia Festival in Kuala Lumpur. Dana then choreographed 2 productions for The Victorian Opera, and Everybody Loves Rhonda for the opening of The Adelaide Cabaret Festival. Other projects in Australia include choreography for Australian pop artists, Crown Casino, Australia Post, The Liberal Party etc, several television commercials, and Melbourne’s Moomba Parade and Water Festival for 3 years. Dana’s Musical Theatre credits include Respect, staring Rhonda Burchmore, and various productions for The Production Company, including Anything Goes, Kiss Me Kate, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Little Me, Follies, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Grey Gardens, Showboat, and recently Nice Work If You Can Get It. In 2012 Dana choreographed the Australian premiere of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang for TML Enterprises, which toured Australia (2012 & 2013), followed by the Sydney premiere of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at Sydney’s Theatre Royal (2013), which received glowing reviews. In 2015 Dana was invited to choreograph the new Australian musical Sexercise, which opened the Alex Theatre in St Kilda, as well as 2 productions for the Melbourne Theatre Company; Jumpy starring Marina Prior and Jane Turner, and the new Australian work Last Man Standing, written by Steve Vizard, and staring Peter Carroll. Dana has just finished recreating Jerome Robbins original choreography for the musical Fiddler On The Roof that opened in Melbourne January 2016. Dana has two musicals that went into production in 2016, as well as transferring Fiddler On The Roof into Sydney’s Capitol Theatre. Nadia Tornese - Hip Hop Nadia Tornese was a self taught hip hop dancer from the age of 12. She started teaching at the young age of 17 when she then decided to take dance more seriously and began casual classes around Melbourne. Nadia then went on to study full time dance and performance at Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance where she was offered a scholarship to further her training for a second year. As well as a dancer she has a unique passion for choreographing and creating which in 3 short years has lead her to choreograph and be apart of such events as Vega fm idol party, featured dancer on Neighbours (Network 10) dancer for MC Hammer on the 7pm Project (Network 10) and a finalist for Short and Sweet Dance 2010 and 2011. She has choreographed for Melbourne’s biggest industry night ‘Immersed’ and also for the event ‘Underground’. She has recently returned from the United States where she trained intensely in all genres of dance at Broadway Dance Centre, Debbie Reynolds and Millennium Dance complex. Darren Tyler - Jazz & Musical Theatre Darren’s theatre credits include the Australasian production of Cats (Really Useful Company), Miss Saigon (Cameron Mackintosh/ LWAA) as Dance Captain, Thoroughly Modern Millie as Dance Captain and assistant to choreographer Dana Jolly (The Production Company), Saturday Night Fever as Bobby C (DAE), Showboat(Livent/Marriner), Happy Days (Paul Dainty), Pan where he understudied and performed the role of Peter Pan (M.E.A.G./Kevin Jacobson), Anything Goes (The Production Company), and as Dance Captain in Showboat (The Production Company) Oliver (Cameron Mackintosh/IMG), Legally Blonde (GFO), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and John Frost’s production of Annie where he also worked as Resident Director. 2018 FULL TIMEPERFORMING ARTS

In 2005, Teagan was invited to join Sydney Dance Company (SDC) under the artistic direction of Graeme Murphy & Janet Vernon. Throughout Teagan's years with SDC, she performed much of Graeme Murphy's repertoire (both nationally and internationally) as an ensemble and Principal Artist. This opened up wonderful opportunities for her to perform at International Galas, Festivals, The Australian Dance & Helpmann Awards, Blockbuster movies and T.V series. Teagan has worked and collaborated with a number of choreographers including Stephen Petronio, Narelle Benjamin, Meryl Tankard, Rafael Bonachela, Shaun Parker, Stephen Agisilaou, Aszure Barton, Natalie Weir and Stephen Baynes in a variety of contemporary and classical repertoire. In 2010, she was appointed Associate Artistic Director of a newly formed company - Mod Dance Company. In addition to her performance and directorial career, Teagan was a guest Principal Artist for Melbourne based contemporary dance companies Liquid Skin and Vertical Shadows. From 2011 - 2013 she was an artist with The Australian Ballet Company. She is currently dancing for Opera Australia as the Principal Dancer and Dance Captain. Carrie Green - Tap Theatre Credits: High School Musical Jnr, Love's Triumphs, Singin' In The Rain, Fame - The Musical, The Boy from Oz, Sweet Charity, Starlight Express, A Chorus Line. She has danced for a number of television events including The Helpmann Awards, Good Friday Appeal, The Logies Awards and The Bert Newton Show. Carrie has also partaken in multiple cabarets and corporate events over the years. Simon Storey - Acobatics Simon trained at the Royal Ballet in London and worked as a dancer with the Bejart Ballet company in Europe. He later studied physical theater and acrobatics with the late Johnny Hutch (A British legend in circus and acrobatics). In the last few years Simon has been training and performing in London's West End as an acrobat/dancer/singer and actor. He has featured in nearly fifty Television commercials as well as a few short films. Recently he has worked for the renown Australian company, Global Creatures, performing in 'How to train your Dragon'. Michelle Hopper - Guest Choreographer Michelle Hopper has worked extensively in the performing arts industry for the last 20yrs. Having worked with the world’s leading choreographers in film, TV, musical theatre she has cemented herself as a highly sought after commercial dancer. Her credits include Singin' In The Rain, Grease Arena Spectacular, The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge, MTV Awards, Nickelodeon Teen Choice Awards, The Helpmann Awards. She has also performed and worked with recording artists including Kylie Minogue, Adam Lambert, 30 Seconds To Mars, Guy Sebastian and Tina Arena. Stephen Tannos - Guest Choreographer Stephen was born in Sydney and has been extensively trained in all styles of dance as well as singing and acting. Stephen was part of an 18 month Asian tour of ‘Cats’ The musical playing the role of ‘Tumblebrutus’ and understudy to ‘Mungojerry’. He was selected to be a part of the Top 20 in the 2009 season of the hit TV show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ where he gained notoriety for his unusual dance style. His credits also include dancing for artists such as ‘The Presets’ and ‘Sam Sparro’ as well as numerous appearances in the commercial world of dance. Stephen Tannos also appeared in ‘Fame’ the musical choregraphed and directed by Kelley Abbey, where he toured all through Australia. Stephen has gained much attention for his choreography work in Australia where he has choreographed for numerous events and showcases. He looks to broaden his horizons a choreographer…. and the title ‘Tannos&Choice’ which is in Collaboration with his girlfriend… Kelley Abbey - Guest Choreographer Kelley Abbey is one of Australia's most accomplished creative directors, choreographers and performers in film, TV and musical theatre. For 25 years Kelley has worked both nationally and internationally. Kelley began her career in lead musical theatre roles with Australia's most prestigious production companies, winning Green Room, Mo, Variety Heart and Helpmann awards. Kelley's Creative Director & Choreographer credits include: the critically acclaimed Salome for Opera Australia, Fame — The Musical, Footloose, Grease: the Arena Spectacular, Hedwig and The Angry Inch, Xanadu, the 2012 Victorian State Schools Spectacular, and The Boy from Oz, which earned her a Helpmann Award for Best Choreography. As Choreographer & Guest Judge: So You Think You Can Dance (Australia and USA), Superstars of Dance (USA), working alongside Nigel Lythgoe, Ultimate High School Musical, Packed to the Rafters, and Dance Academy 3. ACCOMMODATION Patrick Studios Australia does not have its own on-campus student accommodation, however there are several housing and accommodation options available. Students can choose to: • Rent an apartment, unit or house • Share an apartment, unit or house • Reside in student apartment complexes or hostels • Live with a family in a homestay or boarding arrangement. Please note that January/February is a busy time with many students all looking for accommodation and that prices and facilities vary. LIVE WITH A FAMILY (HOMESTAY) (costs are an indication only): If this is your first experience of living away from home you may find the transition to tertiary life much easier if you don’t have to adjust to independent living at first.
