The Ayia Napa Youth Soccer Festival was established in 2001. It is now the biggest youth football tournament in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East. During the 2017 event, 5000 children and 334 teams, from Cyprus, Poland, Egypt, Jordan, Greece, Romania, England and Lebanon, competed in ten age group categories for five days. The tournament is organized by Soccer World Cyprus club in corporation with Ayia Napa Municipality and is held under the auspices of Cyprus Football Association, Cyprus Tourism Organization and Cyprus Sports Organization. Useful Info - Unlimited team participation per age group (depending on the availability of pitches). - All participating teams will be placed in groups of minimum 4 teams. - Minimum of 3/4 tournament games for each team. - Depending on their wish disqualified teams can carry on in a new knock out B’ level tournament per age group. - Possibility of friendly games if needed. - Physical grass pitches. - Free refereeing & medical care for the matches. Prizes (per age group) - Cup and medals for 1st and 2nd Winners. - Medals for teams reaching semifinals and foreign teams. - Fair play prize for best behaved team. - Prize for finals Player of the Match. - Prize for 1st goal scorer. - Prize for best goalkeeper (general appearance in accordance with goals deceived). Individual & Team Insurance Referees & Teams are responsible for the issue of their own travel insurance as well as appropriate insurance cover against all team and individual team members medical and injury expenses and compensations for any kind of damage and any kind of loss at any time during the tournament period. The tournament organizers are not responsible for any kind of loss or damage and for any reason at any time during the tournament period. Age Certificates Group leaders must carry with them during games original passports/ birth certificates or identity cards of the football players together with the official tournament list of players separated per age group. All documents should be original or certified as true copies by official authority or the tournament organizers. Cop- ies of the above documents must be handed in to the organizing committee before the start of the tournament or upon arrival.
PROGRAM OF EVENTS The Tournament organizers will operate on the basis of first come first served as far as participations and accommodation is concerned. They will also try to operate on the basis as described in this brochure but will retain the right to change the program in line with outside influences such as inclement weather, late changes to fixtures or for any other reason. The program of events can be extended before or after the tournament to meet the individual requirements for participants and especially of overseas teams.
SCHEDULE FRIDAY, MARCH 30 MONDAY, APRIL 2 - Teams arrival - Quarterfinals - Managers & Coaches night meeting and - Afternoon visit to Waterworld Waterpark or night welcome party for foreign team representatives visit to Luna Park (depending on period & weather conditions). - Free night, shopping & entertainment options SATURDAY, MARCH 31 TUESDAY, APRIL 3 - Group matches (morning & afternoon) - Quarter Finals & Semifinals WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4 SUNDAY, APRIL 1 - Semifinals - Group qualifying matches continue - Finals (2006-2011, Girls, Women) (morning or afternoon, depending on the number of participations). - Possibility of Knock – out games in the afternoon THURSDAY, APRIL 5 for teams qualified. - Finals (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005) - Night sightseeing of Ayia Napa - Departure Day IMPORTANT NOTICE - Games of the Age Group 2006-2011 begin on March 31 (Saturday) - Games of the Age Group 2005 begin on April 1 (Sunday) - Games of the Age Groups 2002, 2003, 2004 begin on April 2 (Monday)
ACCOMMODATION & PARTICIPATION
The package price per person / per night of accommodation in quality hotel or hotel apartments varies depending on the kind of hotel, the number of team players and team members as well as on the number of different team age groups. All accommodation choices are situated in Ayia Napa tourist resorts (5 to15 minutes distance by bus to the football fields and to the center of Ayia Napa). Hotels in Protaras or other surrounding areas can be used in case of no available choices in Ayia Napa. (3 or 4 Players per room or depending on total number of players). For accommodation in double and single rooms there is an extra charge. Teams registering in our tournament without making use of our accommodation and participation packages need to pay separate team registration fee as well as players participation fees. For our special offer packages including registration and participation fees plus full board hotel accommodation and transfers please contact us for further details. This is a real invitation and we suggest you take it for serious because this might be the chance of your life. Important Notice Participation of Volunteer Referees is subject to the approval of the Official Football Associations of Cyprus and the country from which the referee will be coming from. All foreign referees need to apply and refer to REFEX REFEREES ORGANIZATION as our exclusive partners and associates for all referees from abroad.
