Welcome Back to Brighouse for our Brighouse 1940s weekend 1940’s We’re back at last and we’re absolutely WEEKEND delighted to be hosting the famous Brighouse 1940s weekend, after a long break…. ‘OFFICIAL BRIGHOUSE 1940 s ’ A Brighouse Tribute to ‘Uncle Stan’ SATURDAY NIGHT ENTERTAINMENT In Loving Memory of Stanley Taylor L.d’H 20th May 1924 – 5th January 2022 4 TH JUNE 2022 Regular supporters of the Brighouse 1940s DANCE BAND HITS FROM THE 1920 ss TO 1940 ss weekend will be familiar with with BRANDYN SHAW with ‘Uncle Stan – Stanley Taylor - who has joined us over the years and supported the event entertaining & HIS ‘RADIo’ RHYTHM MAKERS us with his great sense of humour and stories. We heard the sad news that Stanley had passed away in his sleep on PLUS SPECIAL GUESTS LIVE 5th January 2022 after NATASHA HARPER BRITISH DANCE BAND being poorly for several PETER JONES months – he was 97 years old. Stanley’s funeral was held at Aldershot Crematorium and his family were lucky enough to give him a hero’s send off – which was attended by some members of the Yorkshire Regiment. We wanted to dedicate this page to Stanley, to commemorate his life and how he served his country for many years. Stanley was a veteran of the Normandy landings in the Second World War and Mr Taylor revisited Normandy three was serving with the East Yorkshire times later in his life to reflect on his Regiment when he took part in Operation war experiences. Natasha Harper Natasha is delighted to be returning to Brighouse 1940s weekend this year. She has performed many times here in The Nightingales Brighouse and loves being back on her home turf. Viva la Vintage is a one woman, Rhythm Makers bespoke cabaret for all of the family. A first time for Viva La Vintage in Brandyn will be performing on both Brighouse so let’s give her a warm days and will also be headlining the welcome! main event on Saturday evening from 7pm in the ENSA Marquee.
