We’re back for 2021! Winter Warriors The Key to Our Success 9/29 - 10/1 | Embassy Suites | Loveland, CO
Letter from the Chairman Welcome Back, On behalf of the planning committee, we want to invite you to attend the 2021 Western Snow and Ice Conference and National Snow Roadeo in the beautiful city of Loveland, CO from September 29 to October 1, 2021. The conference theme “Snow Warriors – the Key to Our Success,” has been carefully chosen to mark the work done in snow operations. The world and the way we do business changed a lot in 2020. The National Roadeo was canceled, and the conference sessions were offered virtually through the month of Sep- tember. If you missed any of the sessions, these were recorded and can be found on our website at https://www.westernsnowandice.com. This year I am excited that all of you will have the opportunity to visit vendors and network in person. We have a stimulating program planned for the Conference that will allow attendees to share and celebrate our accomplishments, renew friendships, extend our network, and explore current and future directions and technology. You will not want to miss the National Snow Roadeo with five (5) events, that test equipment operator knowledge and driving skills. Don’t forget the All-Around Event. We’ll award the top three best combined scores from agencies who participate in all five categories. What agency will have the bragging rights for 2021? You will have a productive and fun-filled time at this very special Conference and Snow Roadeo. For more information about the Conference and Roadeo, visit our website www.westernsnowandice.com. On behalf of the Planning Committee, we look forward to seeing you in Loveland this September. Sincerely, Larry Schneider, Chairman 41st Annual APWA Western Snow and Ice Conference and National Snow Roadeo MAJOR SPONSORS

While it is important and effective, it is not the only anti-icing liquid available to snowfighters. This presentation will highlight the other two important liquids available for inclusion in your anti-icing toolbox – magnesium chloride and calcium chloride. Not only do they offer lower operating temperatures, and faster melting than salt brine, but because they allow lower application rates, they are also key tools for sustainable snow fighting operations. In addition to anti-icing, they are excellent choices for liquid deicing and granular pre-wetting.
