Town of Clarkstown A Message from Your Town Board Dear Resident, We are pleased to send you the fall and winter Parks and Recreation Guide for 2021/2022. Throughout the pandemic, our recreation department has been dedicated to finding creative ways to continue providing recreational programs to our residents, whether virtually or safely in-person. This season, we have many exciting programs and events planned for you to George Hoehmann enjoy. Please browse this brochure and take some time to learn about all the Town Supervisor recreational programs available to you. As we learned over the last year and a half, we must be flexible and keep health and safety our top priority. Please stay up to date on our website, social media, and e-newsletters, as programs and guidelines may need to be adjustedt due to COVID, especially during the winter months. We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to provide residents a variety of quality programs. Registration Dates & Online Information Registration will be accepted at the Administration Building - Zukor Park. Directions to Administration Building Zukor Park/Street Community Center, 31 Zukor Road, New City, NY 10956: Take Main Street in New City north, past the New City Library. Continue to first STOP sign. Continue straight, Zukor Road, Administration Building is first red brick building on left, across from Historical Society of Rockland County. When you register for a program two weeks (or less) prior to the start date, THE FEE MUST BE PAID IN CASH or Credit Card. Registration Hot Line 639-6200 Registration in Progress. Online registration will be available until 2 days prior to start of program unless otherwise noted. Call the Administration office for availability after that date. All residents must re-verify their address at the beginning of 2022. Don’t wait until Community Pass Comes to Clarkstown summer when the lines are long! Special Events Family Campout at Congers Lake Clarkstown’s Halloween Memorial Park K-9 Costume Contest Overnight Family Camp out: Includes traditional camping activities with a campfire. There will be a winner in each category for dogs under 25 pounds and for dogs over 25 pounds. Eligible: All families that are Clarkstown residents. Senior Citizen Programs All seniors need senior citizen I.D. cards to use our community centers, Stay Fit and pools. This card is free and expires 5 years from when they were issued. You must come in and show residency for a new card. Date is on the front of the card. Please contact the registration office with any questions. Stay Fit Seniors Circuit Program is a 30 minute Wellness Program designed to work every major muscle group, your heart, lungs and mind, all while having fun! The program is based on three components, Physical, Mental and Social well being for a Clarkstown Senior’s best health. This program is for senior’s 60 years or older. Pascack Community Center CLARKSTOWN’S K-9 CORRALS DOG PARK AT CONGERS LAKE SOUTH The dog park has 2 areas. There is an area for dogs 25 pounds and under and a separate area for dogs over 25 pounds. The dog park is open to Clarkstown residents only and all dogs must be registered with the Trailway Open at Congers Lake Memorial Park. Town Clerk. You must adhere to the posted rules. Come and Enjoy our 2.6 mile Trailway - The dog park is open dawn to dusk. No Skateboards Allowed Gymnasium Rentals The Town of Clarkstown Parks and Recreation has Gymnasiums in all Community Centers for rent. The availability of these facilities is limited and varies by center. If you are interested in renting a gym, please contact the Community Centers.
